I do wish we got a way to play 1.0's story in some form as its own expansion, since its essentially a deleted game that 2.0 is a sequel to. Especially with all the characters like the Scions or Gaius that are a part of 1.0's story (and things that happen there are referenced to beyond the Calamity)

I think they should remake 1.0 as an expansion. A time travel expansion...now that may be pretty cool if done right.

They kinda half did with shadowbringers. For example the crystarium city in shadowbringers was the 1.0 assets improved. Hildibrand was in 1.x too and that questline stayed very similar in 2.x and obv expanded in future. A lot of the quests in 2.0 were the same as 1.0 as they couldn't go and rebuild EVERYTHING in the time they had.

I lost a buddy to the ARR grind around level 40. I know he would love the rest of the game but the ARR slog is terrible save a couple of key moments.

It is. I was unhappy with the previous video in its audio, pacing, script etc so I remade it. It's essentially the same but with a few changes here and there.

If u don’t think heavensward and shadowbringers aren’t the best non visual novel video game stories ever then idk what you’d consider better. Second to ffxiv is only bioshock infinite, again excluding vns since no video game stories can compete vs muv-luv, steins;gate, tsukihime or even maitetsu/monobeno.
