This is what I like to call "The exact moment FFXIV becomes FFXIV". Seriously, everything before this moment feels like the prologue, and the moment this fight is over, the training breaks are off and the game just GOES. The slow pace from ARR and the patch quests vanishes the exact moment diamond dust shatters. That moment when she clicks her heels and the music changes to this banger is the EXACT moment FXIV went from alright to godlike for me

Ha, yeah. It was a bit messy near the end the LB3 was the only reason we cleared. Still have some things to iron out before we have it on farm but a kill is a kill.

Not to be rude but it looked like you didn't even know how to play SMN properly. You were reapplying DOTs way before they needed to be reapplied, kept using energy drain instead of Fester, and left Garuda egi on sic.. You just do not leave Garuda on sic lol and this 'static' really looked more like a pickup group formed in Party Finder :P

i get the part that they are struggling with the mechanics, since my static had troubles on it too during release of 2.4, but to not know how to at LEAST play and know your job is what makes me doubt that this was a static. Because as I said, this looked like a pug group at best. And no, I've started playing since PS4 Beta. And you saying that garuda egi was often on sic is just wrong. Our static's SMN, even back then when we were clearing second coil (that means before 2.4) and up to when we cleared A4 savage always had managed their pets, especially if it was garuda egi. The only egi that can properly function while under the command sic, without a "DPS loss" is Titan. Titan will automatically buff himself, hold hate via AOE weaponskills, and stun without you having to worry about him. You use Titan while primarily solo. The problem with garuda egi on sic is it uses all of its cooldowns without proper timings, and all of her skills are 'situational' , and cause dps loss if used when they aren't useful. Ex. of that is that on sic, garuda egi uses contagion and you DO NOT use contagion unless you have at least bio, bio2, and misama up. Another thing is that Garuda egi will be using her her knockback, and it is also a DPS loss compared to if she just kept on auto-attacking, and it sometimes causes other party members to lose DPS in certain instances as well because they have to chase after it once its been knocked back (e.g monks keeping their greased lightning) Lastly, her AOE attack is less DPS than her auto-attack and it only surpasses it with the more targets being hit, hence why you want to always manually use that when 2-3 or more enemies are side by side and grouped together. So, I dont know what youre saying about how garuda egi was always left on sic before. If that was the case for some SMNs, including this guy, then I'm sorry but there has never been a time that leaving garuda egi on sic proved to be the good thing to do.

+Justin B if i didn't would you have commented something else then? bet you would say something worse. if giving an opinion evokes 'doucheness', as you would stupidly call it, then fine, im a douche lol heck, you can even call me an elitist if you want, if you're one of those 'what an Elitist!' people. but the thing is, even though people play how they want to play this game, that doesn't hide the fact that many people have absolutely no clue on how to play their job properly and be able to maximize their job's potential. Those people need to remember that they are playing with other people, and it's not just about them, as this is an MMORPG. And the only way that can make any 4 man, 8 man, or 24 man content really enjoyable is if each and everyone at least pulls their own weight.
