Nope. I beat Endwalker and I am pre-ordering Dawntrail. I still cannot and will not recommend this game to people.

@@AnaHeartbeat If the "huh" is meant for me, all I can say is that I cannot recommend this game to people when I believe there are better games out there that I think are more worthwhile than this behemoth of an experience. I also believe the subscription model is a fair reason why I cannot recommend this series to someone as well. For example, I think people are better off playing the Yakuza series. They routinely go on sale and you can play them whenever you want. I'll continue playing this game from time-to-time because I like grinding, so this game scratches that itch for me and the game gives me something mindless to do. I'll also play future expansions because I'm this deep, I'd like to see what they come up with. But just because I'm an oddball that wants to waste his time playing this game, I don't see how I can recommend this game from my own experience and beliefs. ...Now if the "huh" is not meant to me, then sorry for this response lol.

​@@flamingknux7691 A "behemoth" of an experience is exactly what a lot of people are looking for in an mmo tho, a game they can sink a lot of time into. I think the yakuza games are great but would i say they're more worthwile than ffxiv? No i wouldn't. They both have their own aspects that make the games good, also what's the point of continuing playing ffxiv for you? You said that you preordered dawntrail "because you're in too deep" Are you even enjoying playing the game or it's just an addiction?

@@cobren666 That entire paragraph answers that question. I like grinding so the game scratches that itch. I am also in too deep AND I want to see what they do. I think it's a waste for me to play through the entire story and not touch future expansions, especially if they only come out years apart. If you want to recommend the game to people, that's fine. If someone is specifically wanting to play an MMO then sure I'll recommend the game. But from my experience, your average person is not looking for an MMO so it just makes more sense to me to not recommend the game in any fashion.

Anytime this happens you can try /shout or /yell for a high level player to come beat up your bully, only takes one person. If no one’s in the zone go to the local city. You’ll always find someone who will help.

This exact hunt can and has spawned on top of an msq quest for me xD. Luckily it was on my alt and I already know how to approach A ranks. I feel bad for all the new players tho that get nuked like the uploader here

I played the beta in sept 2010, i thought it was trash but i have been playing since june 2015 when it re-released. Most fun i have ever had since EverQuest honestly.. and you always are brought back to older areas so entire expansions arent just completely dead and forgotten right when the next one comes out.

@Xemvii yeah there's a two-year period I never looked at the game. Didn't think it would be possible for a game to change its core gameplay and usually that is true, nobody can really pull that off. I guess i registered March 2010 according to the squeenix website on the account service history.

@@Talinthis Yeah, they realized there was no saving 1.0 and completely nuked the original FF14. They rebuilt it from the ground up with a new engine and story that takes place 5 years after the 1.0 version, hence A Realm Reborn.

my first death was the giant pampa who one kicked me when i was on my way to the ascian who summon a golem msq near the spriggan fate, i wasn't aware that most majority of mobs will aggro you if you come near them 😅

This is a world boss with lots of health thats meant for a whole big group of people that go out and hunt them all in order. Unfortunately this is one of the ones that will aggro you if youre lower level so this exact thing is a common occurrence for new players. The solution is to simply avoid walking in front of it since its vision is likely just a normal frontal cone.

First time I saw those high lvl beasts in an area with low lvl enemies, I knew what time it was. Stayed far away from them and didnt even want to find out. Im lvl 60 now and I might just say hello this time around.

The annoying thing is how frequently it'll spawn either on a path you need to take, or directly on top of an MSQ spot.

When I first saw them I fought them for like 30 minutes and won. In universe, though; we probably battled for three days and three nights, without respite. Our battle was bloody and contagious. We wreaked havoc on the world around, and the earth shook as we fought. The ground bled, the sky crackled and as I nearly drew my final breath, a blow that could topple mountains was struck, and the beast fell.

@@Grimnoire You had to camp for three nights. That means you and the monster had to make a truce, and come back the next day to duke it out. What an honorable monster.

Whenever I find that one is there I swap to my main and come kick it's face in so this exact thing doesn't happen to unaware sprouts. Probably the worst offender of A ranks next to msq objectives.

It's decent. But you need to connect with the world i find. For me originally it was fairly early on, after the Titan for example. Before the rework as well. Rushing msq no matter which expansion doesn't feel good I find. And many people do exactly that 😢

Game is good, just sit back and enjoy the story for what it is. Try PvP, maybe do ocean fishing. Farm BLU, lots to do in PotD

Whenever I upload my clips to KZbin, usually while it is processing I ramble a bit in the description just to pass the time. Even though this says "2 weeks ago" I actually uploaded it three months prior and scheduled it for today (I try to do a major batch upload and do a MWF schedule). Because I upload so many clips and have them scheduled over the course of months, I tend to forget I have stuff going on in the background on my channel. What most likely happened is that by this point I had beaten Endwalker and wanted to upload my clips. So, for context, I stated that this was early on in my playthrough. Then from there because I had beaten the saga, I just wanted to write my opinion as a whole and say I cannot recommend it. Finally for the bulk of the description, I just wanted to lament about how I had a core group that ended up quitting. Also because this was my first FF14 clip for me to schedule for an upload, I went ahead and put my opinion on this one. I mainly just post my clips to my channel for archival purposes and if I want to share a video with my friends. So this description is largely meant for me as a sort of "journal note" so to speak. A note for me to jot down my thoughts, a note that I created to pass the time, and a note for people to randomly read if they so choose. If I could have predicted six-thousand views, I probably would've had a completely different description lol. Glad people enjoy the clip.
