"omen"... king regis's dream. from living a regular life, driving down the road and noctis focusing on what is ahead of him- a typical life- only to be drawn away by his calling, led to the sand dunes of what remained of what was once watery altissia after the hydreaen was slain, to the imperial occupied trains and the imperial occupied quarry. noctis fighting through imperial bases full of battery soldiers, all because of the pryna- which the golden eyes and black fur symbolizes as ardyn leading noctis astray in the form of pryna- ardyn was the one pulling the strings behind all of ffxv, just as he was in this omen in the form of a dog. it foretold luna's death, in which noctis felt heavily responsible. this omen told regis what was coming- and he sent noctis with the crownsguard away from insomnia in an attempt to save him from that premonition, hoping he would be protected. hence, "may the gods forgive me", regis attempted to defy fate and play the hand he was dealt as best he could to protect his son, since he was forced to surrender insomnia anyways. so yes, of course this OMEN isnt what we played. it was a dream the king had before the entire game started.

Did you play the dlc , ardyn literally was the nicest dude in the game. Somnus literally screwed him over. And bahamut was pulling all the strings, making ardyn live so that the chosen king could arrive to his fate

Ali Hamza yeah i played the dlc. bahamut told aera what the "prophecy" was, aera told somnus, somnus acted on it, but aera felt guilty for telling somnus the fate of the gods and tried to defend ardyn from that death, which cost her her own life. ardyn was enraged by somnus for it, somnus then locked away the corrupted ardyn- adagium- founded his kingdom, and ardyn was the one who murdered innocents, was set on killing noctis, etc. all because of this grudge he had on his brother. frankly the gods are to blame, but ardyn couldve chosen at any time to realize noct and regis were not at all guilty of what somnus did, and somnus isnt guilty because its what the gods planned, etc..... noctis is as guilty for what happened to ardyn as ardyn is- just because they are related to somnus. and again- it was bahamuts plan!!! somnus simply acted on it after aera told him, even though she wasnt supposed to!!! i feel like i explained in circles but- hope that makes sense

@@AliHamza-sv4ni But Ardyn didn't have to- he was literally told that he was going to end up doing that, and he could have rejected that fate somewhere along the line and not have helped the empire, not have tried to hurt noctis, not spread the scourge, etc. All of it was fueled by his hatred towards his brother even down to the point he was beating regis just so he'd summon somnus, and when somnus did show up, ardyn only wanted to kill him.. again.. So it shows yes, while bahamut orchestrated this, Ardyn had free will enough to choose who he attacked, or hurt no one at all. But yes, all in all, this was Bahamut's pointless plan. A game for the gods, i suppose.

this was actually meant to be an extension of the main game. What you see here was fully intended to be a part of the game but due to the change of team and time limits, they scrapped a lot of this and just went with what you see today. Very unfortunate. TRAILER EXPLANATION (no spoilers): Regis was sending Noctis away to be with Lunafreya from fear that the Niflheim Empire was plotting something. This trailer is the vision (or omen) King Regis experienced, which caused him to decide Noctis's friends should go with him to get the princess. He initiated this before or off screen during the movie (Kingsglaive), which is why he was surprised to see the Princess Lunafreya in the capitol city Insomnia, since she was supposed to rendezvous with Noctis and friends. I'm interested in seeing who that wolf represents, it appears to be a friend or someone who makes Noctis believe he is a friend or guide that ends up betraying him, but that's pure speculation on my end.

The rewind & the dog not being Pryna reveals Noct has been following a path he thinks is right but is actually a path of darkness all along so the versus Shakespearean quote "nothing is either good or bad" remains relevant. The omen foreshadows something sinister is at work, Noct's struggle & loss of power. Not to say that what happens in the trailer will necessarily happen in-game but it is something to be overcome; i.e. dark Noctis.

Jenesis Well, some of these things happened, but not in the same way we see them here, or in the same order. Luna dies, Tenebrae is destroyed, the Regalia is destroyed, and Noctis ends up alone and surrounded by enemies without his powers. But his friends are with him, and his father is with him in spirit (The Ring of the Lucii and The Sword of the Father), so the worst possible future is avoided, even though things still ended up pretty bad.

Τhis trailer looked like a movie!! Not quite the final fantasy we are used to but then again it's a brand new FF games with a lot of changes and for new consoles. I am uber excited for it and I am sure that it wont let us down
