While The After Years had no voice acting, they still moved the mouths during cutscenes (well, at least the major characters).

Actually I meant, restoring the cut cutscenes in proper places to tell the cut story, and making new ones to actually tell the story in the first place. I mean, there are trailers with scenes we don't get in the game and hell, I'd even appreciate more Kingsglaive in the the game to give us a little more Regis if anything. The whole game is just so shallow.

tbh it's probably because of the crybabies who bitch when one platform gets something they don't. Example: Releasing the Avatar system for the solo gameplay on PC had a lot of console players literally crying all over the XV reddit forum about how they were ENTITLED to have that system on PS4 and XB1. They didn't care about system limitations. They were "entitled" (literal word used). By releasing this on all consoles, it's cutting a lot of that out. XB1 makes sense though, because people can play most XB1 games on their computer. Switch makes sense as it's a portable console. PS4 is just to satisfy the babies.

You can't play XV on mobile or Switch. This allowed them to expand their market. I'm not sure why people who claim to love the game are so against them trying to expand how many people can enjoy it. BTW, I've played both. This version is nice to play if you're sick and in bed, or just trying to wind down to go to sleep. I like it. The fact that they did all they could to leave the main story intact is incredibly admirable, esp since the cutscenes run in time to the full game.

I don't think you realize how difficult this game has been to tweak for them when it's not fully doing it over for, say, the PC edition. They have had an uphill battle trying to make this game what it is because they were given 3 years to do it because Nomura is literal trash. For example: That Leviathan battle we saw in Versus days and early XV days? They had that built up legit, but the game crashed every time. They toyed with it for MONTHS, and could never figure out how to make it run correctly, which is why they had to replace it with what we have now. With PC, they had to bulk up the code. For Switch, they'd have to cut it down. With a highly compressed game that's already heading over 100GB in size, I'm willing to bet they tried hard for a long time to get it to work for Switch, and just couldn't make it happen.

...Why don't they make an ACTUAL demake of FFXV with classic Final Fantasy mechanics straight from Final Fantasy IV V VI, the SNES Era? Look at DRAGON QUEST XI! It has BIG PS4 version... and it has a 3DS version, which has not only a decent low-poly 3D demake mode, but also a 2D MODE WHICH PLAYS AND LOOKS LIKE A DRAGON QUEST FROM SNES ERA! Why can't they just made a GOOD version of Final Fantasy XV? Just make Final Fantasy XV in SNES style, call it "Final Fantasy XV: The Golden Age Version" and hearts of FFanboys would be sold! I had a feeling that this would be ported over to the Switch. Thought honestly I never expected that to be the case at all. But I never expected it to be releasing in the PS4 and Xbox One as well. Though I’m confused as to why release this on those platforms when they already have the OG version of Final Fantasy XV already? The HD version of the Pocket Edition would’ve been better to make an Switch console exclusive instead. Especially considering the “Pocket” part of the name being more fitting for that platform instead of the other ones.

1. People can buy this for XB1 and play it on their computers, I bet, so long as they have Windows 10. 2. Probably digital. 3. They recently learned that PS4 and XB1 gamers are overall entitled brats, and doing this heads them off at the pass. When they implement things on the PC edition that won't be coming to the consoles (at least for the foreseeable future), they're flooded with people saying "We're entitled to this, too!" (yes, they use the word 'entitled'), regardless of system limitations and the like. Doing this just makes sure those idiots don't have room to say that here. 4. If I had a little kid that I'd like to introduce to FFXV, but it was too complicated, I'd prob get this for them on console instead tbh.

To anyone who absurdly believes releasing this game was a "greedy" tactic: That just isn't the case. Greed is when you force people to pay for extra things within a game you have already purchased, to be more likely to succeed at it. EA. Pay to win. That is greed. Releasing a free mobile version of a game to console is just a way to share variety and give opportunity to those who seek it. It's not a necessity. No one needs to get this. I sure as Hell won't pay for this, because I don't need to, nor do I have the time or resources, but it's nice to have there if I chose I did want to. That's what this is; a choice. By definition, you are not greedy if you give a choice, which if refused, does not in any which way shape or form obstruct the flow of your life and decisions, past or present, or their future outcomes. This was cute, and generous. I doubt many people will get this, except maybe on Switch, because as like a smartphone which this game was originally intended, is mobile, so is the Switch. It is disrespectful and ungrateful to call wonderful companies like SquareEnix "greedy," lumping them together with the likes of EA. Did you know they released every single Kingdom Hearts game, for just $99.99? That's including Kingdom Hearts 3. For just 100 bucks, you can get Kingdom Hearts 3 and the other 8 games that came before it, in all their remastered glory, which to me is absolutely ridiculous, but amazing.
