Insane what the combo community can come up with a game that locks most of your abilities behind cooldowns, and a very limited base movelist

Some of the design choices heavily restrict what can you do with the battle system, so players have to think outside the box to make in depth combos

@@collinz126He did though. When designing the game his goal was to have it as open ended as possible and he said he knew that people would come up with strategies and playstyles that he couldn’t even anticipate. He knew that he was making a game that players could express themselves in endlessly.

Any of the creators have any tips on doing combos like this? My best combo is only like 10% as technical as these! Props to yall for pulling these off.

@@nolgaudette1078 yo! i love ur pfp, shark explody head is the greatest 😼 In terms of just general advice, i def recommend hitting the lab and experimenting with different abilities and eikons in training mode. I have over 250 hours on FF16, but probably over half of that is just from training lol. Watching clips of technical ff16 players and trying to replicate combos, tech, etc that they do also helps a ton. This will give you more things to experiment with and incorporate into your own gameplay. Personally i absolutely would not have figured out how crazy you can get in this game, or other action games like DMC, without analyzing other players. @@luna_ff16 thank you so much! I will totally spend more time in practice mode, my playtime is 101 hours and about 10 or so hours are in practice. I understand the mechanics and abilities pretty well (I think) but just struggle with inputting different moves in quick succession. Practice makes perfect ! Thank you again!
