Final Fantasy XVI - RTX 3060 Laptop - All Settings Tested

By default cutscenes are locked to 30fps. But I have unlocked the fps using the mod linked below www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy16/mods/6?tab=description As for FSR3 & FG I strongly recommend NOT using it unless you have no choice. In many scenarios enabling FSR3 caused shimmering while enabling FG literally made the game to run in cinematic slow-mo.

Word of advice use fsr instead of dlss i noticed significant performance boost on my 3070 laptop. Its not perfect but the fsr3 gives off a better performance output compared to the dlss3 for some reason. That way you can play the game at high settings as opposed to low.

When you play on an external monitor FSR looks bad + AMD-FG causes slow-mo often since native resolution fps goes below 30

@@legacybenchmarks wait what? nah you capping! I played ff16 with fsr3 plus frame gen with settings of high-medium and it looks fine on my koorui 27 inch. Must be weird bug on the game that effects some systems, cause i have never experienced any cinematic slow mo on my end. Though i ded experience some shimmering.

@@nazgulbarakas5767 Your 3070 laptop is faster than a 3060 laptop. Ofc the experience would be different. And as i said before if your native resolution fps doesn't go below 30 you won't experience any slow-mo

Funny thing i have the same laptop gpu and I have this game on PS5 and not played it yet. Then I am watching this how it performs in laptop 😂

Only happened when I launched the game for the first time and it completed itself automatically

Try capping your cpu speed to 3-3.2 Ghz.. temp is kinda high.

84-85C for laptops is not high and since it's not thermal throttling it's all good
