This YM2612-style remix/cover of yours is making me wish the Genesis/Mega Drive got a port of Final Fight 2. Granted, it might have been licensed to and developed by Sega since Capcom was in a vice grip from Nintendo at the time, but I think it would have been a great port nonetheless. The only thing I would have changed about it is that I would have went with the musical samples from Streets of Rage 2. Great job, and keep up the good work!

I love both, and personally disagree. I love the extra reverb in the original, but I will say the pitch and room FX in 3 were a great improvement on 2's soundtrack overall.

Yeah, Final Fight 2 really dropped the ball. Why are they fighting across Europe? Why is a Japanese Kabuki actor with pink hair the new boss of Mad Gear? And why are 2/3 of the original cast missing? Not good, Capcom.

@@edwardgaines6561 Absolutely. Like, I don't mind the whole Eurotrip thing, but I do hate how the whole game is pretty bland and the villain is an absolute joke both as a character and as a boss.

FF2 is hilariously easy. I've played through it on the highest difficulty to see the true ending, and the only differences are the number of enemies and amount of health they have. On top of that, it still showers you with enough continues to just brute force your way through the game. Worst of all, it does nothing whatsoever to improve on the original's formula. Whereas SOR2 was a giant leap forward in terms of everything, FF2 is still the exact same barebones 3-hit combo-jumpkick-special-move-one-throw-unless-you're-Haggar routine that the first game was. It's embarrassingly lazy. And then there's that goddamn Holland stage. Its gimmick is that there are landmines everywhere. They don't do all that much damage, so they're really more annoying than dangerous, but because you have to awkwardly pace around them to try to get the enemies to blow themselves up, the pace just slows down to a crawl. And while all of this is happening, this godawful thing keeps droning in the background: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4HNoZ-ZpZhgeaM Oh, and it only has three characters to choose from. I guess they realized how much they fucked up with this one and tried to actually improve the gameplay in FF3, but by then it was too little too late, and BK3 smokes it in every regard.
