@@galtramte4741 it also makes the planet/moon uninhabitable, requiring lifesupport for you not to die. I think it also kills all trees, and given his playthrough of efficientcy modules to not pollute to much, idk how keen he would be to kill all life on any planet with biters

@@Queue3612 He is using efficiency modules so the world doesn't expand infinitely due to pollution spread, the trees are coexisting efficiently with the factory, absorbing all pollution. In space exploration, each planet has finite size, so pollution would no longer be an issue.

I would like to interject for a moment. What you refer to as "mp4" is, in fact, a proprietary container format for video. There's a free container format to be used which is "webm" (actually a subset of "mkv" also known as "matroska") which is standardized to carry such patent-unencumbered video codecs as VP8, VP9, and AV1; and similarly open and free audio codecs like Vorbis, and Opus.

I'm gonna guess the artillery came in cutting across that corner in the void generating new terrain. I got major anxiety about that when I saw you using artillery earlier in the episode! I've learned the game always chooses the least convenient artillery turret to attack a given target. If there's a turret right next to where you're shooting, the artillery turret on the opposite side of your base will fire.

Send your spidertrons out and generate more land and more biters? Heckin, blow up your nuclear reactor with a nuke? Whatever it is you'll do next episode that'll be "bad" would have to either be an accident, or a REALLY stupid decision. Maybe both, hmmm... Anyways. Great episode, I cannot wait for the next one. It seems to me the plan would be a simple one of slowly, methodically working south. Red spiders first; artillery hits the biters roughly level with them; builder spiders follow a short way behind, maybe accompanied by a few reds to keep them safe. So long as you don't get impatient or start to panic......

Interesting, and very different approach. I would have used manual artillery shots for scouting, as they do have a temporary 1-square radar. Fire one into the chunk, then target bases on the map one by one in the chunk. Still need to deal with revenge attacks... And of course you need to be careful to not expose too much. Case in point, that outro :-)

Michael I've been following your content for quite some time now and I have never had a complaint. But making like 5 parts for a "finale" video is just annoying at this point. I think anyone could understand a 2 part finale to a series but at this rate you might as well have made them just regular videos in the series. Teasing them as a finale is low and misleading.
