I think it would be interesting to mix in some more melodic songs or other subgenres in these videos to get a little variety to show people how diverse metal can be. It's fun to see people get really surprised by the heaviness but easing them into the genre could be fun to see too great videos though keep it up excited to see what comes next.

its also funny that pretty much every metal song here falls into 2 or 3 subgenres . While there are metal songs that you can basically sleep to . Idk why they choose only these ones
@immotay8 ай бұрын
With so many subgenres I feel like it's kinda sad that it's pretty much metalcore and deathcore, I mean, giving the guys some variety from NWOBHM to some Thrash to Technical Death Metal would be cool af. Maybe one episode going through different subgenres from the lightest to the heaviest? That would also be very interesting.

Dude I s2g, its just metalcore/deathcore/djent etc all around on these channels showing what's popular in modern metal and then they wonder why all the reactions are almost all the same Melodic death metal, power metal, folk metal etc these genres will be so much better in easing people in and showing them the more melodic sides of metal music

I was thinking the same exact thing. Show them the complexity in the instrumentation, to open their mind. I feel like a lot of them just hone in on the vocals as soon as they come in. Which just distracts them from how beautiful the melodies actually are under the vocals.

I go for Suffocation's self titled album - but yeah, non metalheads have no idea! It is like the anger, frustration is being drained from you via the music so you can sit there relaxed or bang along getting it out. Hence the calming down. Them on the other hand hear noise and it somehow stresses them out! lol

This has convinced me that almost anyone can be taught to appreciate metal. People *like it* aside from the death vocals. And who the hell likes death vocals when they start getting into metal?? I'm a hardcore death metal and deathcore fan, and I ascribe fucking Paramore as being the impetus of my path to metal. I worked my way up through Papa Roach, and Motorhead, and Alter Bridge, and eventually I ONLY wanted screams. At one point it was Chelsea Grin and Carnifex and Winds of Plague and Job For A Cowboy and if it weren't them then I didn't want it. But it took years and years of listening to heavier music to get me there. People can be taught to appreciate the heaviness. ALSO! I loved hearing more of the person behind the camera! It'd be cool (though a totally different genre of video) to slowly build these people up to the level of metal that this series has been dominated by.

@Raze Hell Media The more I watch these videos the more I feel like there needs to be a rating system for songs/bands for extreme level for when introducing people to metal so they can be eased into complexity of the genres. Like Symphonic Metal, Metalcore, Power metal, and Folk Metal would be good for on the less extreme, but obviously would differ band by band. Like a list I would do myself would be something like this: Annisokay - Calamity Any Given Day - Savior (or Get that done) Within Temptation - The Reckoning feat. Jacoby Shaddix Bloodywood - Aaj Eluveitie - Call of the Mountain Unleash the Archers - Awakening Architects - "Animals" (Orchestral Version) - Live at Abbey Road AD INFINITUM - Marching on Versailles DIMMU BORGIR - Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse (LIVE - FORCES OF THE NORTHERN NIGHT) This one just to throw a curveball at the end. Just my 2 cents. Anyways it was fun just thinking about it. I look forward to more of your videos.
