in my point of view, the long intro prepares us for the epicness that awaits us. Majora's Mask was suspenseful and dark, but this theme ITSELF is what made me rush through Twinmold, get the Fairy's sword, and deposit all my rupees into the bank before reversing time just to do Kafei's sideques, only to hear this again, and get that feeling of impending doom on me.

I don't know why everyone finds this song depressing. I get that it's the end of the world song and everything but I never really did. For me I get the sense of Justice and determination to save the world especially for this version of Final Hours when that rock music comes in. I feel like with version I CAN beat up Majora!

Its not depressing as much as it is dreadful. As Link watches the world nearing its end, he remembers the children he saw playing in the streets, the people he met and changed on his journey, even the words of the swordsman echoing in his mind "i'm scared... I don't wanna die..." He takes up his ocarina and plays the reverse song of time to keep fighting despite the odds stacked against him

While many players complain at this videogame's gameplay and time limit, these people fail to fully appreciatr this videogame by letting themselves get distractee with some imperfections (unbeatable games in Nes were far more frustrating than this, if that is the point). Out of all the Zelda games, this game seems to be the one that takes character development more seriously. You engage with the whole community, address their problems and feel their pain and sorrow. Many people highlight Zelda's lullaby, but Song of Healing has never bored me and I still like to listen to it to this day. Fuck the gameplay in this case, the game is a masterpiece, maybe not as a videogame, but as an entertainment experience, much like seeing or reading a movie or play.

I can just imagine this remix being in some sort of slow motion action scene. The beginning would be where Link would be running towards Clocktown in slow motion. When the drums enter would be a flashback in normal speed of Link's escapades in all the temples with a scene from each boss fight. The ending would come back to Link still running in slow motion only this time in Clocktown while the Moon has the burning aura around it as it is about to hit the tower.
