Holy crap was that a pleasant surprise. I closed my eyes, turned it up, and put in headphones. It was absolutely amazing. It really felt like I was in Termina. I'm not exaggerating. It was sad, scary, and had a movie like presentation to it. It almost reminded me of Interstellar's soundtrack. Extremely good. This is extremely underrated and I can safely say it's literally my favorite remix of all time. It's so atmospheric. I can't say enough good things. I've never even heard a remix that captures the emotion of a game better than the actual game until now. I've gone on for too long.

"This world is destined to fade...its creation was but an accident, and it is not by the will of my Sisters that it exists. The so-called Giants that adopted this realm for their own are false gods, and I suppressed them as easily as I have suppressed so many other divine forces sent to hinder me. Termina is forsaken. With its destruction, the chaos will ripple across the dimensions until it rattles the very bars of my prison, and I will be free. What hope do you have of defying destiny, boy, when it defines your very existence?" "All you gods treat destiny like it's an unbreakable chain, a bond of servitude. You imply destiny is something you can't avoid, that it's thrust on you and that you can't defy it. I've seen and done enough in my life to know there's more to it than that. I was told I was destined to be a great hero, but you know what? I could have walked away. I was a kid, and I was supposed to stop a warlock possessed by a demon's lingering spirit from conquering the world. The odds seemed so stacked against me, and there are so many others who would have just turned their backs and walked away. But I didn't. Because I CHOSE my destiny." "You chose to die in a futile attempt to prevent my return? It would seem Oni's legacy has not inherited Hylia's wisdom despite the countless ages of close proximity. You cannot save them, child. There are none who can, for the very Goddesses you serve care not about what happens here." "I wouldn't be here if that was the case. You don't understand anything beyond what your own insane hatred allows you to. Maybe the Goddesses aren't interested in this world, and only brought me here to stop you from coming back. But it doesn't matter, because I will speak for them. I will save them, and I WILL STOP YOU. Because that's what I do. And THAT is my destiny." -Majora and Link shortly before the final battle
@Jaiso8 жыл бұрын
Wow...bravo dude. I feel like that's how it should have gone down. I like your creativity as well. :) I also feel like Majora is actually some sort of secret final baddie myself. Do you want to hear a theory on what I think might be the plot of Breath of the Wild? It involves Majora. I'll message you if you want! :D
@LordSiravant8 жыл бұрын
Jaiso The plot, from what I've heard, involves Ganon proving himself to be getting harder and harder to kill with each incarnation, and that he's ruining the fabric of Hyrule's reality just by existing. (personally I'm downright tired of Ganon being the main baddie. I want Majora back, dammit)
@Jaiso8 жыл бұрын
Hmm...is that confirmed? Also, do you want me to message you my silly theory, or comment it here? :O
@Jaiso8 жыл бұрын
Never mind, I can't seem to find the message button on your profile. I'll just say it here then. :) This was conceived by a Zelda theory video on KZbin which talked about the "The Gap Between Dimensions", the area that Ganon sent Phantom Ganon into when Link defeated it. The theory said that the "Gap Between Dimensions" was supposedly Termina, and that Ganon sent the spirit there where it lived the rest of his days wandering the land. However, I'm thinking Phantom Ganon found Majora's Mask in Ikana at the Stone Tower Temple, as the mask was calling it. Soon, it wore the mask and transformed into a CALAMITOUS force...known as Calamity Ganon! 8O He sought revenge on Hyrule, Ganon, and Link, using the power of Majora's Mask to nearly destroy the land until being sealed by...whomever in Hyrule Castle! :O Sounds like a long stretch, I know, but hey, you got to admit, it kind of makes sense! :) But that plot you said sounds cool to, I guess. It's just I thought I heard someone from the team who was making BotW said that Ganon will NOT be the villain in the game... (shrugs)
@LordSiravant8 жыл бұрын
Jaiso Ganon is the villain again, from what I hear, which sadly decreased my hype for this game, because I really am sick of him. It may not be true, but usually when they say Ganon is the villain, they mean it. (the Nintendo team really loves Ganon) To be honest, I've basically given the established timelines one huge middle finger (because they just don't make any damn sense) and created my own Zelda universe with a coherent history much like UndyingNephalim did for Hyrule: Total War. Many of the game events still happen, but I add a bit of a spin to them to make them see more Tolkien-like in the world-building. Shameless self-promotion here, but I'm a fairly prolific fanfiction writer, and on my DeviantArt profile I put up an image of my version of the Zelda timeline. lordsiravant.deviantart.com/art/EWM-Hyrule-Timeline-479105593

@heroofhyrule90273 жыл бұрын
The moon had been halted, that much was clear. The Giants that were freed from the four corners of the land were summoned by a song played by a boy with an ocarina. Relief flooded the boy, the one named Link. After cycles and cycles of destruction. Of the constant ticking of the clock pushing him to do better. The many failures, the cycles where he could not save the poor people of Termina. It was done, thanks to the guardians of the world. Link stared at the halted moon with satisfaction, but there was still one more thing he had to do...

This song...Oath to Order...is one of those songs that pings to my radar now and then that I love because, quite simply...it is a perfect encapsulation the the game. It carries with it a sense of...desperation. Railing against a dark night, begging for just a little more time. And this? This just takes everything about this song and takes it over the top. Well done.

I have to say, this is my ABSOLUTE favorite rendition of Oath to Order/Calling of the Giants. It has been one of my favorite songs originally made by Koji Kondo, another favorite being Song of Storms. I have searched for a good version of it, and since I found this song three years ago, I have stopped searching. Today, I actually did another search, just to see if there was any version made since that has been able to compare with this, and it has not. I am only saddened that there aren't a lot of people that haven't seen/heard this rendition.

And so it began. Buildings crumbling, bushes tumbling, trees falling, The earth shook with tremors never known, and the star of doom looked with a grinning smile upon our world, as it pressed down to it's own extinction. The crazy kid giddy as a child on a festival of fire. And the words were ingrained in it's mad laughter: "You have met a terrible fate, haven't you?" When I thought the world was done, I played this song, My eyes in tears, a fear not simply undone, I thought of all the sorrow, the pain, the suffering, ... the hope of all those I have met... Then like a whisper in the wind, I heard singing, voices around me very deep and uncommon, growing louder by the beat of my heart, I realized with relief, a stone lifted from my worries, the giants had come, They stemmed their mighty hands with all their force agianst the moon of death, And I was glad, of that terrible fate, we haven't just met.... ... Y.E.T... The moon opened it's foreboding maw and spoke true words of doom: "I S.H.A.L.L C.O.N.S.U.M.E E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G !"

Every year we looked forward to the festival of time. the food, the games, the one day my parents got to enjoy themselves and not have to work. A face in the moon? The ground-shaking beneath our feet and laughing. Oh, goddess the laughing. We stood in the square where music and joy should be had but no. I clung to my parents as the moon fell, grinning, hungry and laughing. Why was it laughing? "Close your eyes." my father said. "It will be over soon." My mother sobbed. Fireworks burst around us either someone's idea of a joke or maybe to bring levity to the end and music. soft fluttering notes. so quiet but oddly echoing. I close my eyes and wish.
