Losing a match is not a qualification. Aus never lost in 2003 and 2007 worldcups. Its a strategical decision whether to play semis in Wanhede or Eden garden. Lets hope this time for us.

We were tested in the last game. If we had scored 230 against any of the other top 4 teams, we would lost the game in Lucknow. Our batting came up short by 30 runs as Rohit pointed out in the post match conference. Shreyes is a liability in this World cup. Needs to be fixed. Worried about the workload of Bumrah. Maybe needs a game rest before the knockouts.

India are the clear favourites followed by South Africa and Australia .... But we need to have that ruthless mentality ..... Knockout la enna venaalum aagalaam , if dekock / klassen / warner / Maxwell play a blinder , we could be beaten ..... We should stop the overhype of the team and respect other good teams ..... Have to remember Indian team has reached so many semis and finals in the last 10 years and have stumbled every time ...... We can t lose matches just for the sake of losing. There is no guarantee that we will win semis if we lose a match before that. There is no guarantee we will not win semis if we win all 9 matches. Aus won all matches in 2003 and 2007 and won both the cups. Wi won all matches in 1975 and 1979 and won both the cups. The bottom 2 teams can have only max 4 wins now. The teams at 6 7 and 8 can only win 5 max now. Ind already have 6 wins So only afg can become equal to us if we lose all 3 remaining matches and afg win all 3 remaining matches. If afg win all 3 remaining matches, it means aus and sa will have 1 less win as afg have a game against aus and sa .So we are almost through to semifinals already. I will start resting players from the next game. I will definitely rest kohli , rohit , Rahul, kuldeep in rotation in the next 2 games. I will rest bumrah and shami for the last game against netherland . In the process we lose a game , we will accept it. But not just for the sake of losing .
