OMG, I had the exact bike. Kawa green and full race. Port polish, Chambers, sets, clip-ons, K-81s, half fairing. and a Bell star helmet. Sixteen with a bullet. Great job on the restore! The sound sparks my soul.

So good to see someone Hot rod these lower cc Widowmakers. I have my eye on a 250. Biggest cost is the chambers.(Don't forget to brace the frame and swingarm). Very cool build!!

Thanks! I would love to build another and go even further with the mods. Such as the frame bracing you mentioned. The idea with this bike was to have everything basically bolt on and able to go back to stock.

I bought a new 1973 S2A and kept it for 44 years but it's gone now. I've run seven different bikes at eight Bonneville Salt Flat events and often wondered if I could get a modified S2A to run fast enough to break the 140 mph record in the modified gas 350 class. Last year a set a record on a Rocket 3 and I'm going back on the Rocket 3 in August 2025 for a shot at a record in a different class. I think I'll have enough time to run one of your modified S2As out there if your interested. There videos of a lot of my runs on my channel, speeds from 123 mph to 196 mph depending on the bike.

A Bonneville World Speed Record trophy would look great on your shop shelf. We can take care of everything out on the salt and paperwork to get there. Just need the bike and tuning from you for 3 days.

Thanks Derek! I am SO happy that I finally bought one of these. They work so good! Mine has an ID of around 33.5 and OD of 38.5 at the narrow end of the cone.

I have a Suzuki GT250 and like the idea of the carb sync, so does it just set the tick over up so both carbs reads the same??

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "tick over up". But in simple terms; since i'm no expert, What you are doing is ensuring that all the carbs are drawing the same volume of air to ensure that each cylinder is working the same amount and everything is balanced. Just think worse case scenario, if 1 cylinder isn;t working at all. Wll the other 2 now have to compensate and the bike runs like crap. Now if you get that dead cylinder to fire and have it producing the same amount of power (through carb tuning) well n ow the motor will purr like a kitten

Pete, you should try my 90° elbows between the carb and the air filter. Stand them as straight up as possible. It really works.

you cant use nylon locknuts to hold carbs to the motor..the heat will melt them ...doh
