Wow, sad how many malls around the country are closing as of recently. Hopefully some of them can come back. Also I hope that you can get parts from the elevators here.

Sadly! Nearly the same page as my childhood mall in the Seattle Metropolitan Area which was Northgate Mall. JCPenney opened in 1964/65 and closed May 2019 and was demolished in 2022-23. Macy's opened as the Bon Marché with the rest of the mall in 1950 and became Macy's in 2005, closed July 2019 and was demolished in September of that same year. Nordstrom opened sometime in 1979/80, closed in August 2019 and was demolished in 2021. Food court opened in 1997 and also closed as well. Every single department store and mall management lift was removed. What stings even more is that Northgate was also the first mall we ever went to as well. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do a final retake of this elevator due to a security guard closing this part of the mall off, but still pretty sad this mall's going away. I remember coming here ever since I was a sophomore in high school, and have had little or some memories here. R.I.P. Chesterfield Mall 1976 - 2024

My childhood mall closed almost 2 years ago and was supposed to be torn town, but the condo project that was going to replace it has stalled. I also got to ride my childhood Series 1 elevator one last time.
