@bigdonkerbren5325 Жыл бұрын
IMHO, he's starting to struggle to keep up with the new generation. He's still a Top 10-15 player but I don't think we will see him win a big event. Sucks that he wasn't able to tour full-time during his absolute prime. For reference, he is my favorite pro and it's remarkable that at 35, he's still able to play at levels that others his age can't.

Disc Golf is absolutely a legit professional sport. The overall level of ability needed to do what these guys did these past 5 days is something that takes years of dedication and physical ability. Interestingly... when one of these top players decides to play an A or B tier event, they often blow away the competition. And yes, because the level of competition on the DGPT is just astounding. And for those saying a harder course is needed... look at the scores of other players that played the exact same course.... no where near as good. These courses were narrow with a lot of OB... the thing was these guys that finished on top this week... they were dialed in.

When Isaac is on he might be unbeatable. When he goes on these runs he hits lines with such ease, it really makes the sport look much easier than it really is. I watched the chase card today and I saw championship caliber play from almost every player on that card. Great tournament!!

If I'm Isaac, I'd be proud of my solid play, but I'd also track down the guy with the OB bag on hole 1 from the previous day and thank him for being in the right place at the right time to keep round 4 from starting disastrously. That moment could have swung a tournament like this.
@tjg555 Жыл бұрын
it's so frustrating every week that you don't give the scores at the end. What would it hurt you to add the scores for the field to the end roll? You do it during most of the rounds, but never during the final, when it actually matters.

@moelarry8088 Жыл бұрын
while I agree in general, I think the real story is how phenomenal Robinson was off the tee. 77th in strokes gained putting for the tournament but 1st in strokes gained tee to green. He was 2nd in fairway percentage, 1st in parked percentage as well as 1st and 2nd in c1 regulation and c2 regulation respectively. He was far and away the best player from the tees this week

Matty O! How awesome would it have been if he took down Worlds - still great podium finish. Winning anything is so much harder than it was in years past - too much insane talent for anybody to run away with it. You gotta earn it, and it makes the tournaments so much more intense and fun to watch. The only downer was the sad sack weird deliverance music Jomez chose - c'mon man, disc golf is supposed to be fun, and that hillbilly funeral dirge ya'll kept playing was terrible (no offense to any hillbillies reading this post - love you guys).

Lots of people in the comments saying this course is easy, I can assure it is not. They made it look easy cause they’re literally the best in the world. Lots of top players that didn’t make the podium. Go play this course yourself and I think you’ll be changing your tune on the difficulty level.

Hey DGN - show us the DISC!! Stop cutting away from the disc while its still moving!! Love disc golf. Live coverage is needs work. Cant count how many times a disc was rolling or moving and they cut away. Or someone was putting and they didnt show the basket. Over and over. SHOW THE DISC! Can you imagine if ball golf cut away before the ball had completely stopped rolling? Or didnt even show the hole during a putt? Im not talking about follow up reaction shots. If the disc is moving, we want to see where it ends up. I understand its hard, but your charging a lot of money so take care of the basics. Also, teach your camera folks to focus the camera. Also, stop laying the camera on its side at the end and giving us all motions sickness.

Too many easy holes. Deserving winner though. Eagle snoozed through the first 3 days and left himself too much to do. Nobody is closer range able to close the gap. Good to see Matty O also finish like a boss.

I'm by no means any type of talented when it comes to disc golf but I think something needs to be changed as far as how difficult or not so difficult these courses are for these guys. I literally didn't even need to watch the highlights to know Issac won just for the simple fact that he had a 4 stroke lead going into it. It would take a horrible round for him to blow that lead, just not enough holes with round ruining potential, if that makes any sense. Either way Isaac is an absolute beast out there and deserves the crown.
