📠 I dont understand what he means?!? lol Ricky is still relevant. Undoubtedly Ricky has been at the top of the game since he arrived on the scene. Gannon is a freak no doubt. Congrats to him on a historical season. But I can hardly see how Ricky can’t catch a break? He’s been pretty dominant in two different eras… and I would say Paul has fallen off more than a little bit. Just sayin. I love disc golf.

The network needs to make coverage on events like this more available. The fact we can watch this recap after the fact we should be able to watch it live. Tough to see Rick call the time violation on Gannon only for GB to sink the putt that hole and keep the ball rolling. I am all for following the rules, but it is not right that another player has to tell an official to call a penalty on a player in the final round while a comeback is being mounted. Glad to see GB take it in the end.

Imagine winning as gannon and the guilt of it not being called. Its best in the scenarios to call and let the beet man win then let what if guilts loom over the past.
@nktaylo13 ай бұрын
@@fractalarbitrage I don't think there would or should be any guilt. Players should be able to make/take their best shot, and while I recognize there are "hard rules" of 30 seconds upon address, someone would have to provide the definition of "address" and expressly at exactly what moment it takes place. I think there's definitely a balancing act of pettiness vs. egregious time usage and we'll never make everyone happy. I also recognize this is opinion based and there are people (I'd never enjoy playing with) that would love to have a stopwatch on every shot. Ultimately, imagine being Ricky and only winning because you called someone for taking too long. Nothing to do with skill, or the shot they actually took... ...just some technicality we impose for pace of play. We'll probably agree to disagree, but I'm just recognizing there are people who think a lot of these calls (not all) are dumb and also people who believe it's always a "clear" rules violation.
@penrose29423 ай бұрын
What hole did this happen on?
@TDub7773 ай бұрын
Sexton said it best. Ricky is not calling that violation if he is 6 strokes ahead. I thought it was a pretty lame move by Ricky, but it is the rules.

It seems disrespectful to give the same prize money to FPO as MPO when women could play in MPO if they wanted to. They don’t bc they would hardly ever cash. It’s obviously more competitive, more entertaining, and a higher level of skill in MPO so why pay them the same?

Dude deserved it. The only “bad” shot he had was one missed putt that cost him a bogey. -10 with one bogey ? Geez. @jackreagan20813 ай бұрын
@nathanaelandersen4278 you can't say the same.... the age Paul played in had less money and viewership. The problem is that when one team, player, or club always wins, the viewership goes down. That is a consistent in the fiscal stats. I would think next year, the amount of yearly DGPT goes down, views, and patrion all go down. I have been seeing it happen with Jomez since they were acquired.
@TheMarkoPollo3 ай бұрын
@@jackreagan2081 if more people understood this then people would be rooting for the tour to survive not just the new kid on the block. The tour has become stale and with 60% of the players contracts coming to an end this off season, I’d say most don’t get resigned. On top of that the cash for the Tour Championship was less this year than last year. So if that doesn’t say regression and not growth then idk
