TRUST ME GUYS I BEG YOU PLEASE TRUST ME... I am a practicing lawyer at Calcutta High Court from past 1 year now... TRUST ME these will not at all work Moot courts will just help you in you flow of English, this is not the way how judges and advocates talk. They always use legal terms like impunged order, your lordship was pleased to pass etc etc. if you really want to learn please visit your state high courts or do internships.

@@ishashrivastava2024 If you take my opinion then, keep applying from the 1st year itself. There is no specific time. Always target tier 1 law firms, They will reject you initially but you won't give up. Keep trying, keep pushing and don't reject any internship offer, trust me it will help u a lot.

@@yuvrajkannojiya9666 nothing and basically nlu's final aim is to make u a corporate lawyer ..if u r interested in corporate life..fine but people who are here for arguement litigations etc ...can go to any law college and learn the basics of law and how things work and about internship you can even apply to a High Court Judge (if they allow obviously) . If your relative or parent happens to be a High Court Judge never miss an oppurtunity..attend every intern you will get a push from them

These moot courts are misleading to law students. Visit district courts and High court, see how work is done there. Observe the procedure and see how young and senior lawyers argue in courts. Itni lambi bahas nhi chalti he courts me. Also court me kabhi bhi law nahi quote karte he judge ko.

Yes, there is a big difference between moot courts and real courts and they shouldn't be compared. It's like telling a kindergartener that what you're learning in school isn't the actual thing, and that the real school life (in the coming years or throughout your life) is very different from it. Moot courts are about more than just the presentation you see here; they are also about the hard research that went into it. When you read a case, write a memo, and conduct research, you get a thorough understanding of legal topics and improve your attention to detail. The oral rounds, when the judges grill you, are a test of how clear your comprehension of the law is, as well as your ability to avoid manipulation and being confident to stand firm on your argument.

Upon observing the contrast between the moot competition organized by Indian law colleges and Harvard University, one cannot help but notice a glaring difference in discipline. Unlike the meticulous instructions meticulously laid out before commencement - from the prohibition of electronic devices and photography to the expectation of remaining in the court during arguments - it becomes evident that certain standards are upheld by these esteemed law institutions. It's disheartening, albeit not surprising, that such meticulousness is often lacking elsewhere. These seemingly minor yet significant gestures not only speak volumes about the professionalism, discipline, and standards upheld by these institutions but also highlight the aspirations of Indian students to pursue education abroad.

I see many people disregarding moot courts. Yes the real court is very different from moot court however it is no reason for someone to lower the morale of law students. Look do what you want in your college life because you will never get another chance, once you've passed it you'll not come back to this. Further people who thinks moot courts are totally useless wouldn't even be free commenting here while watching moot court lol. What moot court does is: 1. Boost your confidence to speak. Whether be it English or Hindi you'll have to speak and that's what's important. You need to have confidence and believe me judges in most of the moot courts are like real life judges (at least the ones I've participated). 2. It gives you very basic idea of how a case is presented in a court and believe me it is more or less similar to this (I've been to district courts and high courts so i don't need anyone saying otherwise). Yh in moot court the primary objective is to test your knowledge about the law which we're dealing with however in court judge won't test your knowledge they will just quash you once you do any mistake. 3. The etiquette you'll learn in moot court will help you a lot, the way to speak and address and all it is very much similar, even if you speak in hindi if you use legal hindi with very good vocab it'll only make one's presentation of their case even better. Trust me I have watched more than 100 lawyers in district court who can't even address a public or even speak to judge in proper way often resulting in them being not useful. You'll see this once you get in the court for internships. You will need all those skills to be a better professional than others and moot court also development quick critical thinking which will be helpful. You can't test yourself if you don't get out of your comfort zone. Moot court shall be taken as MOOT COURT NOT REAL COURT but nonetheless it'll help you develop the skills that you'd need for that extra push compared to others. It's up to you it's your life don't listen to me if you want but do what you want.

well I am not a law student yet but, if my opinion matters i just wanted to know if the picture was an actual photograph of the person or just an illustration because in the case of an illustration the obscenity of the same is subject to the interpretation of the audience for example the statues of greeks, where the subjects are completely nude just like the statue gifted to the UN (The statue of poseidon) and we've seen that many people tend to look like those arts but they dont sue museums for anything as for the question of defamation on the part of TCT wouldnt it be true that they did follow the guidelines and since they are a social media platform with an international audience therefore they have obligation to the internationl audience as well, and it isnt a crime to make ones buisness thrive and if the photo is real then it becomes a content of fact in which case the third party should be directly sued and not the intermediary since they followed the guidelines anyway
