The thing I love about this is the INNOCENCE. The look on Gil's face on both of their faces is that of true love and romance. That kiss was worth all the wait.. In real life this would be a real relationship not some meet up in a bar and jump into bed kind of crap relationship in our world today..

I especially loved how they didn’t just keep the kiss going. They kissed but then embraced and that really shows their love far better than a long dragged out kiss that gets uncomfortable after the first 5 seconds

This final scene had us (the audience) thirst for the next chapter. And that did not happen until 13 years later with "The Continuing Story." I wondered why Kevin Sullivan could not make the third installment sooner, especially while he was doing the "Avonlea" TV series while the crew and set locations were already in place at that time.

Im actually in Gill’s situation right now. So he loved Anne like his whole life and she never liked him until way later. I really liked my friend Hope and I asked her to the dance. She said yes and everything was going perfect. And the dance was just amazing. But then after that I kind of stopped being myself because i was scared of messing things up and my head was all over the place and she lost the spark. Then I was being pressured to ask her out because “if I didn’t ask now she’d lose interest” so I did. But it was just awkward and I messed it up so she was like “oh thank you.. I don’t know” so I was just really sad for a while but I figured. “You know what? I’m not giving up. Because I really do love her and think she’s the most beautiful girl in the world and I’m willing to take on the world for her. I’ll try being her friend again and we can start talking again and when she likes me again one day then I’ll ask again. But not in a long time. And she’ll love me even more knowing I hadn’t given up on her” but instead of us being friends like I hoped she didn’t even like talking to me anymore and she was just dry. It was really weird being around her and talking to her wasn’t the same. So I figured one day I’d tell her "Alright so don't say anything just hear me out ok? And this isn't even what i was originally planning on saying but this is better. So I really like you and you know that and I know that made things really awkward and you don't like talking to me anymore because of it and I get it and I'm sorry. It used to be great too but then I wasn't really being myself because I was scared of messing things up and my mind was all over the place. But I'd really like to be your friend and i want you to actually get to know me. It doesn't have to be now If you need more space I can give it to you. But I don't want to just be your acquaintance, I really do want to be your friend. And I also wanted to say l'm not giving up either. Like I'm not going to be weird and obsessive I still just want to be your friend. But these things take time and I did try asking when we were friends for like what a month? I was just scared of doing it too late because I didn't really know how you felt about me and how things were going. We did go to the formal and that's a big deal but it also doesn't automatically make us close or anything. But now I know with you it actually takes time. But I'm not going to like pressure you everyday but what I’m trying to say is I still feel the same and I'm not going anywhere." On Tuesday I told her and this her reaction “I don’t know what to say” and she did kind of an awkward laugh while saying that. So I said “do you want me to just give you some space for a while?” And she said yes. But what sucks is she’s not thinking about what I said after we hung up she just carried on with her day. Which it really hurts because she’s everything to me and things were so great with her and now they are like this. I wish she could know everything that’s on my mind and how I feel about her. So my plans now are giving her space for about a month then I’m going to ask her if she wants to go to my piano recital. And she’ll probably say no or idk so I’ll say “Please just think about it. It would be a good way for us to start talking again. I won’t say anything else because I don’t want to push you even further but if you go we can just have fun.” And if everything still goes wrong here’s something my friend Camden will say as a last resort. I’d never have a friend tell her anything for me but he says she should know how I feel and there’s no way I can tell her without making things worse. “Hey hope can I talk to you for a second? So I know this might seem weird and random but I just feel like you should know about this. So i feel like you don’t know how canon really feels. So canon really likes you like not like anyone else he thinks you’re the most beautiful girl in the world and he’s willing to take on the world for you and will never give up no matter how much it hurts him. And I know it’s like “oh my god why can’t this guy just leave me alone” but you two had something great but just lost the spark. But you two had fun at the dance and that night means everything to him. And I know you guys are young and are just trying to have fun like no commitment and he’s like that too but then he met you. Like when he asked you out at urban air he just felt pressured that if he didn’t ask you then you would lose interest. but he would rather just get close to you and be your friend. So you should think about going to the recital. Just have fun and maybe you guys can be friends again.” Thank you whoever reads my story 😂
