Merci! Thanks Cesar for making a very good video out of the animated GIF I sent you ! nsm09.casimages.com/img/2022/05/02//22050206394514553317882759.gif You first responded there was not enough to make a posting out of it. (Hi Jean, It is not enough material for a whole video, but it was very interesting. Thank you !! :) My sincere apologies for the late response.) I was thinking of editing something, it would have ressembled parts 1 & 2 of this video. But you did it much better than I could have done it. My only snooker posting on YT: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2Smi4p4adJ2mM0 Thanks for the continuous effort you put in your channel.

Great editing to show the cue ball positions. Ronnie is awesome. And absolutely right. Snooker needs tennis' Shot Spot. Camera + software records exact ball positions, ceiling projector projects those positions. Done.

The commentators + TV people can do that which makes it even more frustrating. Dunno why they don't cooperate, or get a tablet/software showing old vs. current ball positions that the ref could use.

What do you guys think of the refereeing job being done here in moment 3? I think he did a poor job because he didnt move it to the right/up( in our perspective) according to Ronnie's request. And he seem to be looking for a row when he said" according to the picture, it's bang on." I think he didnt realize when he raised his voice, his tone made it seem like he was very impatient and he didnt wanna move the white anymore.It important for the ref to realize how the tone of the voice can have such an effect.That was why Ronnie said the ref was looking for trouble at some point. And his response to Ronnie after Ronnie came down to play but thought he couldnt see it made it worse: "But you agreed before." He could always change his mind even if he agreed. That was what frustrated Ronnie so much that he asked the ref if he wanted him to play another shot. Quite sarcastic for him to say that.
@jabronni16 Жыл бұрын
He specifically asked the referee if he's convinced that he can see the red. The referee gives a vague response saying "I've seen the situation". Should have been a simple yes or no.

I cannot believe how bad these respots are by the Referees. Is there no way using some computerized technique to visualize the original position of the cue ball??
@xx38682 жыл бұрын
Ref has final say and you have to play it where he spots it even if you not happy. asking the other player to mark it so you can complain after you miss it should be warned and frowned upon as the REF must like a judge in the court keep control over all the rules and fair play to both players and you can see in older matches where the Ref has said to PLAY and dont argue and the rules allow for penalties for this and that. you could ask the REF to see the white before you play it but after he puts it back, you cant say no, thats not where it was without a risk of penalty. ASK yes, but when the REF says thats where he thinks it should be thats it, you have to play....

20:58 - "So unfortunate to land there". What was "unfortunate" about it? The cue ball hit no other balls than the red. Judd Trump is overrated. In the next two minutes of the video, Judd is "unlucky" two more times. Then pots a long red with screw back. JT plays low percentage snooker.
@FloydMaxwell2 жыл бұрын
23:48 - "Open the black now as well. Ohhhhhh" (as he loses the cue ball up against the red). Proceeds to miss the black (should have been easy), loses the frame. 41:47 - an equally bad miss

27:57 - Ronnie has a similar long shot to a red. Pots it and is perfect on the black. I'm really curious what Judd Trump practices. He keeps making the same mistakes.

@@najwankhbees2122 Exhibition shots have no place on a Snooker table, unless you've already won the frame. The real point is that Judd Trump lacks control. And yet many like the guy and rave about his shooting. It is embarrassing for Snooker, frankly.
