Looking forward to seeing some team tourments coming with y’all. One thing for sure your enthusiasm never fails to shine through and you’re going to be getting some wins soon. Still remember seeing you on the Harris chain at Beauclair a year or so ago. I wasn’t even aware that there was a tournament this big for kayaks. Now I’ve joined a trail and fishing my first season of tournaments here. Keep being awesome, wish you all the success ever! Hope to see you at the Harris chain again! Sincerely Jeremy on the blue old town kayak.

Ever try sinking stick baits, like the saltwater guys use in Australia for tuna etc? As for Ned's, the hover rig from Core tackle is probably worth a try (power angler's answer to the Ned). The Ned is like the finesse angler's answer to 'the Ned'.

You'll do better next time. I think you said it best yourself, go with your gut and your strengths. Drew Gregory won this tournament without one electronic on his kayak other than his motor and doing what he does best, fishing the river. He was on the Eco Fishing Shop podcast and basically said what you said. He sticks to what he knows. Every year there is some new technique, some new bait, lately the FFS craze is is taking hold in kayak fishing too as you know and have talked about. He said instead of trying to learn every new craze I stick to my core techniques and try to be the best at those 4 or 5 things I do good instead of trying to master every new craze or every new bait or every new electronic that comes along. And look how that has worked out for him? AOY wins and now Bass Master Champion! Stick to your game, Kristine! The wins will come!

@@kristinefischer2289 haha well he was kinda obnoxious but you kept your cool admirably! 😅 Were you throwing a regular TRD? Or a Big? I think the best way to fish a Ned is to hop it or jig it, actually-dead sticking is boring & I don’t think it’s as effective, at least not for me where I usually fish. Sizing it up & giving it movement so they can grab it on the fall often works great for reluctant bites in NY.

We found the same spot in practice and agreed to fish it together, That idiot (me) tried giving her one when I started catching them and she refused. She finally caved when I caught one that I broke off earlier and it still had the ned stuck in its mouth. I actually gave her the one I broke off and said “here you know they will eat that one.” Kristine and I have been really close friends for a long time. Trust me, if she wanted me to piss off, she would have told me a long time ago 😂
