Actually, remember in the title crawl it said that the Snakes enjoy the victim's terror. It was probably letting them finish talking because it was enjoying the terror it was causing them. Frank Welker is very convincing as a 25-40 foot Snake. In the end, I'm happy with the way this movie came out. Frank Welker did very good in making the Snake sound scary, and the squealing/roaring is probably the most terrifying part of the Snakes.
