Sorry but I think this is bad production. Very annoying to show slow motion replays or bad camera views when they are shooting so you miss what’s going on.

Not sure how the commentator made sure she zapped absolutely all of the tension out of such a close shoot. If the ISSF are wanting these videos to be viewed and entertaining try using a commentator that actually knows what they are doing and when a medal is depending on a shot use some tension building techniques. Could have been a fantastic spectacle but no. Until this happens the sport will remain a ‘non-spectator’ sport.

Agree with you completely. I have been watching the ISSF shotgun competition videos, I want to say close to 10 years now. It started with the commentary by Hilary Russell and she was good. And she often had a guest commentator that was a competitor and knew all the ins and outs of competition. Since Hilary left, the commentators have demonstrated they know nothing about this sport and have been boring to listen to. My guess is ISSF is low budget and do not want to spend the money on a more professional sports commentator that knows something about skeet or trap.

@@mossbrg5 they should take lessons from the olympics - the commentators manage to create a viewing spectacle from the most mundane sports - and at the end of the day the people watching who are passionate about it are going to enjoy it. But let’s get people that wouldn’t usually watch it, entertained. Because you can make any sport tense and entertaining. The olympics make sports such as table tennis, swimming, long jump, very entertaining and shooting could be showcased and appreciated the way that it should be. It takes as much if not more dedication and time and skill under pressure than any sport in the olympics. Otherwise like I said this will remain a non spectator sport.
