Dang... 5 years already... Time flies, but the game has come so far and it's amazing to see! I love the dynamic new VS screens. The way the animations shift for 4 player free for all and battle royale is so dang cool! Also the Stage Viewer is a nice touch. So much good stuff here and I can't wait to see the full release!

Literally! That's how my channel started! I initially fabricated lies about a "Revolution 4" in hopes that Tomy could see exactly what fans wanted and make it happen (I understand this was wrong and have since acknowledged and apologised to my fans of that time). But after many years of pointlessly waiting for a new Clash game and Storm being more and more disappointing as $$$ became Bandai's only goal, I decided "well shyt, guess I gotta do this myself." This project reminds me alot of the sonic duel project. Sonic duel is a fan made smash bros brawl project revolved around sonic amd the ones who made it went back and added characters costumes and movesets and even taunts that are Character specific the whole game reworked to revilve around the sonic verse. This has alot in common and this could blow up super big because people still play the clash of ninja series to this day even competitively its a world wide thing. This is 110% going somewhere and ill support howerver amd whenever i can. Youre literally doing gods work broski

I want the original 3 sound ninja too, True enough they barely existed in the games outside of cameos in Ultimate Ninja as background characters and In Ninja Council 2 for the GBA (unplayable). Devs back then really neglected the roster for these games, Even Crow and Akamaru were separate playable characters but there’s hope I mean Itsuchi even added in Yoroi who really has barely existed at all in the games even less than team Dosu 👍🏿

Incorrect. Baby games don’t have release dates. 👎 Many professional games look like this up to the final months of release as any good game dev knows to prioritize the behind the scenes stuff and polish at the end. You’re just not used to seeing games pre-polish as big devs don’t show the game until after polishing has started. No need for me to hide progress for a fan game that I solo develop and can’t earn income from. I digress.

@@Itsuchi2 yeah I disagree as well. The game has now a playable state (aka the combat moves), a decent roster and visually looks nice. I'd say that the open world exploration part is in the baby state but when it comes to the main gameplay style (aka the fighting) I think It's almost finished and pretty polished.

@@Itsuchi2 the first clash of ninja had so little content. I remember beating all of it around 1 or 2 hours 😅 Your game definitely has more content than that one! I think that you can make a good free roam mode too but better focus on it and the story after you'll finish the stuff you want to include in the fighting mode. I assume the free roaming mode will require more intricate map design with stuff to do in it (aka enemies, collectables and free roam missions to do in).

I can’t wait til this actually releases, I almost went back to playing storm recently but it’s so repetitive…Clash of ninja actually has good combat (no surprise since it uses the Bloody Roar Engine). Oddly enough both games have been on hiatus due to contracts etc 🤦🏿‍♂️. Keep up the good work Itsuchi

Believe it or not, I only discovered the extended throw range last week! I flipped out and added it immediately. Fortunately it was extremely easy to implement. I also discovered while adding cancelled throws that the player 1 animations for both the cancelled throw and cancelled air throw is the same as the guardbreak animation. Hooray! Saved me some time and was a nice fun fact realization.

Definitely an unpopular opinion here, I'm super excited about this project, but I'm just hoping that run mechanism is not going to be a staple in your game. I love Gekitou Ninja Taisen so much because of it being a traditional fighter in the sense of how Tekken or Bloody Roar is, but looking at that run makes me feel like I'm looking at a borderline Arena Fighter, which is why I'm not the biggest fan of Storm, regardless of it's amazing cinematic and characters. Side stepping adds more depth in defensive gameplay for me. But again might a controversial opinion there, I just couldn't imagine Gekitou Ninja Taisen without it.

It’s gonna be a staple mate. This game will have many more real-time Jutsu and supports up to 8-player Royale (even 1 vs 10 in Kumite). This requires more fluid movements than previous games. We have 11 Clash of Ninja/Gekitou Ninja Taisen games. Plenty of options for the old style. I’m going for something slightly different. :)

Not to sound pushy or anything but is there lack of shake effect on purpose? Like with the other games, every attack would have some sort of shake effect. It looks kinda plain without it is all, like the impact just doesn’t hit the same. Will there be an option to enable it?

In game design, “polishing” is one of the last steps before release. Shaming camera and other visual effects are not a priority at this stage. That stuff gets added just before launch. Most companies just show gameplay until mid-polishing at least. But since this is a fan game, no need for me to hide it in its early stages, hence why it may be confusing to see it so raw.

Actually, it’s happening very soon. This is the final teaser trailer. As shown in the last half of the trailer, the core game is done. Now I just need to optimize, add Jutsu, add effects, add story mode, and launch. Season 1 release is on target for late 2024 release. :)

I downloaded the lastest demo but I’m getting really bad frames like 20-25fps… I’ve got an 3060rtx with an i7 processor. Any recommendations? I have got the latest driver. I have an 165hz monitor.

Sounds like a graphics card concern. There’s different drivers for different needs. I have a gaming laptop and was once also getting < 30 fps when I should’ve been getting well over 120 fps. Had to change to a gaming driver, which fixed my issue. Also, the demo is not optimized. Actually, it’s not based on any version. It’s built from the ground up, based on the essence of the franchise. Kind of like Wii was the evolution of the GC games, this is the next evolution.

Character-specific movesets will be added on a seasonal basis. Tobi is not introduced until many seasons later. Though stayed tuned for Season 1 drop later this year. This is the last teaser trailer. From here on, the game updates will be released as if it were official. :)

Effects come in the polishing stage of game design. The polishing phase happens just before release.

Yeah, the “dummy” moveset for all the characters is just to help visualize what the game could look like. But character-specific movesets will be added on a seasonal basis. Season 1 drops at the end of this year with that season’s character-specific movesets.
