I have many builds with different interior, and what I can say that it does affect your block animations.I get way more snatch blocks and just better block animations in general

I think it also effects the tendency to get foul calls on jump contests. My 72 interior defense gets called so much compared to my 85.

Yea that's also what I noticed. I have a 6'7 92 int Center who rarely gets called for fouls and also has much better contrast compared to my 7ftr with only 74 INT defense and 88 vert lol

My center build has 82 interior and I don’t really get fouls unless I try to block a jump shot. But I get fouls all the time on my SF lock build that has 96 interior

In rec I pump fake and get the and one on the first possession then the centers stop jumping and the floaters are unstoppable 😭 I have 70% fg on my pg and I don’t have dunk. Centers are invisible this year

i have 2 7ft centers. 1 has 88 interior 87 block, 80 vertical, 90 strength, and 92 pass acc the other has 82 interior, 94 block, 83 vertical, 95 strength, and 86 pass acc the center with 88 interior gets more stops despite having lower block, strength, and vertical. And the 92 pass accuracy is so much better than the 86 pass acc when it comes to launching the ball on breaks. I still use the 82 interior from time to time because I have high post scoring and use that center as a scorer at times… but when I want to get stops and dominate the paint, i get the 88 interior

HoF touch passer is the best passing badge in the game, and having gold bail out comes in clutch against a team of locks. I never go under 87 on any of my builds accept for one of my centers

I got a 85 interior, 87 block, 84 strength, 75 vert. Def would up my strength to 90 to box out better. 85 is decent but since my strength is lower the post scorers back me down pretty easy even with silver post lockdown. Although I can get a block or great contest unless I was pushed under the rim.

I run 94 perimeter with 90 steal for gold right stick ripper and average over 3 steals a game with my 2-way sharp, I purposely did not go for 91 steal for gold glove, you get less fouls and better animations using your right analog stick for steals

On my original build I have no block but an 82 interior with silver post lock down. Seriously I rarely get a block but I get good contests just by having hands up even better if you time the jump. Even 94 dunk gets stopped. He's a 6 "6 skinny guard but quite decieving. Only thing is if they get around there's no chase down. 82 interior n 82 perimeter is the only defense it has. Int defense is a joke against driving dunk but gold anchor affect it more, but even then 2k logic doesn't let you guard two people at once so it make you jump into the stands instead of stopping the person with the ball. Plus if someone is standing between you and the ball carrier it will effect it but you won't block it.

I have those exact int and block stats on one of my 7ftrs. I can tell you max the INT defense otherwise you'll get called on dumb contest fouls and people will easily dunk even if you're in position. High interior helps with bump contests on slashing.

The fact that u can have good Interior Defense and they can still get past you is mind blowing when u have a high interior defense

It's all timing, height, and positioning in order to prevent their interior badges from activating. 56 interior on a guard can gaurd the interior if cutting them off with a body up animation and hand up. But a taller player with a good slithery badge will cancel that out. Also, hands up defense is your interior defense rating, block is when you jump. Would you expect to hit high % of your contested threes with 77 3pt?woukd you expect to stop everything in the paint with 77 or 84 interior defense?

You definitely can, my Rodman Build with 87 BLK & Max Wingspan literally erases any layup & even with only 75 Interior you have to be 7’0+ with high close shot/dunk to score consistently on it

Anyone got any advice for attributes? I have a 6’7 guard build, 91 steal, 87 per D, 50 interior…I cannot stay in front of shifty guards. They blow by and get easy layups or close shot no matter how good D I play. Hands up etc I’m usually a solid defender in 2k

Strength matters most to get bumps. Clamps is meh by itself 84+ strength with 87 perimeter and 91 steal is elite. Fast feet also pops up A LOT for me - make sure you get it maxed

96 interior defense is wayyy to high . If you want post move lock down on gold then 88 would be perfect for you. Also your strength is another factor if you get a 95 strength with hall of fame immovable enforcer you will force a lot of loose ball/ pick up dribble animation. Also hall of fame immovable force drain stamina fast which will result in centers doing layups against you or making their dunk meter smaller
