Myself, my brother Jesse & Tim McDonald are heading offshore from Brisbane for one last jaunt before Hannah and I head back to the UK after our spearfishing sabbatical. We encounter a myriad of species and cook up an often thrown away part of the fish, the skin.

Watching these dives is damn impressive! I love watching your content as well as appreciate the educational stuff you do include. I'd love some insight on how long you've been diving for & what depths you've accomplished as well as what depths you're comfortable spearing at? I'm new to the diving world but I have been working closely with the breath in the breathwork space for 5 years now which has enabled me to achieve some supposed unbelievably quick progression in the diving world according to the experienced freedivers & spearos I have been around, which I have to give the credit to my breath training on land. To put into context, if you are familiar with the Molchanovs training requirments, I have only done my molchanovs wave 1 training, had 2 line sessions outside of that, and about 5 pool training sessions. 2 days ago I had my first opportunity to attempt a Dynamic in the pool beyond 50 metres as all other sessions were limited to 50m. So with the safety of a competent dive buddy, on my first attempt I got 65m, second attempt was 80m, then my third attempt was 90m. And frankly my training buddies were shocked because many have been diving for years and training for a long time to reach Wave 3 requirements. I have not yet had the opportunity to dive beyond 20 metres yet due to available depth, but I was able to reach that comfortably quickly. Because of this, it's inspired me to put together a breath training program for divers to help them achieve deeper, longer, more comfortable & most importantly safer dives by training their breathing on land, and your input would be invaluable for me to create this program. And as an experienced diver yourself, would you be interested in trialling the program when I finish it to see if it improves your diving ability before I put it out to others? 🙏 I absolutely froff your content legend! Keep it up, and hope to see heaps more from you 🤟 -Tommy Z, NSW, AUS 🇦🇺
@DanielMann
@DanielMann Күн бұрын
Hi Tommy. I appreciate your enthusiasm but there are a lot of red flags for me in this so I will politely decline.
@ILikeItDeep98
@ILikeItDeep98 2 сағат бұрын
@@DanielMann I admire you standing in your integrity with this! 🙏 And i understand from that pitch how it could come across as a concern, but it is also because of the inherent danger of this sport that I am reaching out to well experienced divers like yourself. Not many people are fortunate enough to be able to hit the water often to improve or even maintain their diving, and I have heard some dangerous stories of blackouts due to deocnditioning. The aim is to ultimately create safer divers by changing improving their breathing markers & changing their unconscious 24/7 breathing, and increasing their co2 tolerance by training out of the water. This will improve their overall condition which will not only maintain, but also improve their ability in the water, making safer divers. 3 days ago was the first opportunity I had to explore depths beyond 20 metres (in a paid freediving line session). It's only my 5th time practicing depth, and in just 4 safe comfy dives with my instructor, I was able to safely progress my PB depth from 20m to 27 metres with complete ease, safety & comfort, and frankly plenty more left in the tank. I believe this is a huge testament of how effective my dry breath training has been on getting me quick progression in the water, by improving co2 tolerance outside of the dangerous atmosphere. I do understand and respect your concern though. I really love your channel and do hope that you continue to put out more rippa content. Also your educational content like the flopper tuning video has been priceless as well for newbies like myself 🤟

Now gotta be diciplined to turn on my camera before shooting a fish haha. Still new. Yesterday was my first catch. The training paid off though. First day shooting a fish brought back 5 fish. Thankyou for all your help. I enjoy this sport alot haha got off videogames replaced with this!. Im a really active person so this really helped me gave me goals to work towards.
