Many players are genuinely afraid to shoot over Wemby. This is evident at 1:50, when VanVleet and Brooks repeatedly passed the ball to each other, hesitating to shoot over Wemby. Eventually, the shot clock ran out.

These minutes show that Chris Paul is a real general on the floor. It's a pity that Paul is so old, if he were at least 5 years younger, then with him SAS could quickly become a strong team.
@blablablaa14Ай бұрын
He really wanted to be able to play and prove he can be valuable and I think he really is still valuable. He still looks bad in traditional center responsibilities. His defensive boxing is terrible. Dylan Brooks was beating his ass. And if you look last against the Mavs Daniel Gafford was kicking his butt. You can’t count his rebounds that he gets from being taller than people. The defensive boards he gets from traditionally boxing someone out are infrequent he had zero box outs against Gafford. This may seem nitpicky, him being an unguardable offensive talent that is at his center responsibilities. And being an unforgivable offensive weapon that solid boardman with good defensive positioning is what separates him from goat status and Hall of Fame status. Rebounding isn’t just weight Kevon Looney on the Warriors only weighs 223 at 6”9 had rebounded stronger centers for years now.

I think he’s still on minutes restriction. Only played 30 minutes this game; last game vs Mavs, he only played 28 minutes. They’ll probably gonna gradually increase his minutes as the season goes on as long as he doesn’t get injured. He didn’t play a lot during the preseason so I think the Spurs are being careful.

Go down and score with great foot work in the post, but get dunk-on, layup-on, dribbled around like a practice cone on the other end? What make Hakeem special was not only his amazing post work but blocking ability and defense ability. Gotta play both sides of the ball if you a 30 plus minute per game Big... Also Gasol was versatile enough in his offensive game to slide to the 4 spot so they can bring in a rim protector in Bynum.. you can't slide Sengun to the 4, so here lies the issue. Play Kings and Nuggets ball to try to outscore everyone, but Sengun is not better offensively than neither Jokic or Sabonis, because you will be giving up paint points at a high fg% But stone has already made his bed by paying, so he is on the hook, and if this trend continues so would Sengun trade value tank to the point we will be stuck

Victor Wembanyama looks terrible when it comes to positioning as a center and rebounding. We look at his numbers and assume he’s a good rebounder but most of those are height and him being fast that doesn’t mean he has good rebounding positioning. Seven rebounds here is disgusting while being guarded by a guard most the game. Dillon Brooke should’ve had to switch of him because he was getting big manned. What is the point of having a player that is this big if he’s just going to be a big ass guard? He needs to be able to take advantage of his size traditionally as well. He was getting bullied by respectively little man. I’m surprised Shaq hasn’t talked about this. He always find something to pick at imaginative Dillon Brooks was able to guard JaVale McGee. We would never hear the end of that shit but since wemby is so nice on the offensive end, he can’t really talk about the little shit. This man looks so passive when it comes to boxing out. Don’t give me that he’s only 225 pounds nonsense. Kevon Looney weighs the same amount on the Warriors and has managed to perform bigger centers at a consistent basis, his entire career through solid boxing out and effort. Wemby has the effort I always see him crash the board if nobody is there but if he was boxing out and denying space like looney bro would be averaging 15 boards at minimum.
