WHY do they always do this at these specials and award shows..."let's get every big name up on the stage at once all playing at once it'll be great!" and it never is, it's always an unholy mess, to the surprise of no one with a clue, lol...this is easily the worst version of this song you'll ever hear

This all star jam is just a tradition at the Rock and Roll HOF. When will you ever see James Taylor with Eric Clapton playing next to him? The musicians on the stage for this grande finale wanted to be there because this will probably be a once in a lifetime event. Even for them. They aren't trying to make the best version of a given song. It's about playing with these other amazing musicians. Did you notice how James was able to give simple direction to the rhythm section and they took it and pulled it together at the end? The musicians on this stage are of the highest level.
