Jools Holland is such a bad interviewer. He thinks he's quirkiness is endearing but it's just awkward and creepy. Most interesting people I see him interviewing are doing their damndest to not outwardly cringe on camera.

I've always thought Holland was massively overrated as a presenter cum interviewer. He's a musician who managed to get a job on The Tube, which somehow led to his own show on the BBC, and you get the impression it was entirely due to his being a musician and nothing to do with what's required to host a TV programme. Those who are skilled at what they do make it look easy, whatever the field, and it's glaringly obvious here that what looks disarmingly easy usually isn't.
