My favorite episode. To this day, it still gives me that feeling of dread, defeat and helplessness. Rick has one heck of a group at his disposal. And the Saviors herd them straight to the planned point. And once in that lineup, you're completely at Negan's mercy. Fight back, and sure, you miiiiight manage to wound/kill Negan and a few of his men. The rest would exterminate you and everybody you love, and Rick knows it - thus fear. And good heavens, I can only imagine how the reaction to the next episode will be.

When this first came out we were given some advice before the 1st episode of the next series. We were told give your loved ones a hug, tell them you love them, reaffirm all that is good, because you'll need it during and after the next episode.

@@lullhabit6292 yeah it was a long wait. In the UK It was the first episode (I think) that was shown at the same time as in the US, so I think it was about 4am UK time. But the 4am episode was slightly longer than the usual time of watching, which would have been on the Monday evening at 9pm. (trying not to give any spoilers).

We waited 6 months to see who Negan killed!! This episode is so hard to watch and Kim and mom were so on edge while storm sits there knowing what’s to come. Kim grabbing her foot was like me seeing this the first time, total anxiety and fear and couldn’t sit still

Comic Comparisons : In the comics the group goes to Hilltop for sole purpose of getting Maggie Glenn and Sophia (she is still alive at this point in the comics Glenn and Maggie took care of her after Carol committed suicide) After Dwight’s attack on Alexandria Glenn and Maggie agreed Hilltop would be a safer place for both them and Sophia and the group decides to escort them There’s no pregnancy complication. The roadblocks don’t happen in the comics The group stops for the night and that’s when The Saviors grab them There’s no kidnapping other members or putting their belongings on display Eugene doesn’t try to cause a distraction. Morgan and Carol’s whatever it was doesn’t happen in the comics because neither of them are alive at this point. Negan’s entrance in the show is damn near for line as in the comics save for in the comics Negan uses a considerable amount of F-Bombs and various other curses which you can hear on the Blu Ray DVD and it’s the uncensored version The eeny-meeny-miney-moe is one of the most iconic scene in TWD history This episode is damn near flawless and this arc is gonna bring the best one liners and badass moments of the entire show.

I know this finale gets some flack for the cliffhanger (since everyone who watched live had to wait 6 months to find out who died) but i didn’t mind I LOVE this episode and honestly it just solidifies to me why Season 6 is great love how ominous this episode feels and the slow realization of Rick and the squad that This might not be as easy as we thought even though we’ve gotten so used to them winning There was some very well done dread and terror creeping up on the character and us the audience with Rick himself slowly spiraling into hopelessness too From the music the line about it being their Last day on earth the chilling shots of the hanging body and burning logs and Negan’s people just standing in their way and whistling all had my heart racing the first time I watched this and still makes me get chills now lol At the end of it all we experience something we’ve never seen before Rick’s people genuinely cannot do ANYTHING They are completely surrounded outnumbered and are defenceless they are no longer in control of their fates and have met the REAL Negan I love to put myself in the shoes of the characters and I can safely say that being with Rick’s crew in the woods at night kneeling in that clearing and having my life threatened with nothing to save me (not even the damn ZOMBIES) is one of the scariest situations we’ve seen in this whole show. Long story short this is a fantastic finale to an amazing Season.

This’ll always be one of the best Season finales to me because it shows the best and worst of humanity Negan’s introduction was basically word for word from the comics it took 6 full Seasons for Rick to actually look scared and intimidated We’ve never seen Rick like this.

I did after the first 4 eps and took a break. It was the most horrifying ep followed more cruelty. My sister did quit watching for good after 7/1.

Yeah but then there's the one I'm looking forward to, 7x2 😁 Two or three years ago I binged TWD in just a couple weeks, and I really needed a break after everything that had happened from the prison to the herd in Alexandria, so I stopped halfway through season 6. I'd also spoiled myself a bit while looking up whatever happened to this character or that situation, so I was vaguely aware of certain events like this one, along with common opinions about the next seasons. I actually liked this storyline more than I expected when I finally continued watching -- specifically so I could stay caught up with these reactions by the way -- but I couldn't watch a certain thing that happens in 7x1. I'm also very curious to hear Mom and Kim's views over time on Negan and everything else that's to come.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is incredible as Negan. Saddest episode ever is this one and 7x1. All the great acting especially Rick.

quite frankly Negan was generous to Ricks group, Negan was only going to take out one of them, whereas they have killed 20+ at least of his group at this point, Rick decided to go and slaughter a load of people he didn't know just because of one bad time at Hilltop, Rick and the gang had this coming honestly

This in the Premier episode for season seven they deserved everything they got, because they went along with the brick to kill these people in their sleep. They were not being attacked. This was not like when they were defend them selves against the wolves, they involve they self in a fight between hilltop in the saviors, and I didn’t have to. This is all Rick spot. They murdered people in cold blood in their sleep. I feel no sympathy.
