I always felt sorry for Mary, Queen of Scots...France wanted to be rid of her since the king was dead & she was not a "true" French woman (only half French from her mother), the Scots didn't want her because she was Catholic & England saw her as a threat.

Ich kenne den Film nicht, werde mir ihn aber besorgen - wegen dieser Melodie. Auch wenn sie mich unendlich traurig macht, aber das ist wohl auch der dahinter stehenden wahren Geschichte geschuldet, die ich freilich wiederum kenne. - Grausame Zeit, grausame Menschen, grausames Urteil, GRAUSAMES SCHICKSAL! - Und heute nicht anders...
