@@Key-Knight87 Like GTA VI will be the game of the decade lol. GTA V isn't the game of the last decade, so is the case with GTA IV from the 00's. The only thing GTA will accomplish is providing the next step in gaming evolution from a technical perspective. But as the years pass by, they realise that other games, more personal experiences will stick in their mind, thinking about playing it again and again. GTA always gets less impressive each year, and people discard the previous installment when a new game releases. FF7 remains in our heart forever. That is life.

For me, it looks like the buster sword was somehow blocked by the whispers or some magic and Cloud manages to break it free. Also the very first frame of this scene shows Cloud holding the sword above his head with both hands, just like when Cloud was about to strike Aerith in the original game. But instead of being caught off guard by this ("Ugh...what are you making me do"), Cloud seems to get his grip immediately in order to stop Sephiroth from stabbing Aerith. Well, we'll know what happens very soon! Exciting times!

This trailer was insane! Cissini seeing Cloud is alive was something I always wanted to see for so long. Sephiroth shocked at seeing Zack is not dead and what is he doing there anyway in that timeline, what is he even trying to do? Could it be Aerith he is after, I feel he is after her. Slow it down and you can see it before the scene changes. You can see Sephiroth falling down with his sword pointing downwards about to stab Aerith as Cloud tries to stop him with the Buster Sword. It appears there is a trade-off in Zack's timeline ("ZT"). If Zack survived the Shinra attack, Cloud doesn't awaken and the canon events don't happen. The trade-off is that Cloud never meets the party but the events play out similar, minus Cloud. When the party reaches the end of the road in Midgar they die because Cloud isn't there to defeat Sephiroth. However, Aerith is in a coma. Tahts why Marlene explains to Zack what's going on in Aerith's home. Biggs wakes up, he finds Zack for an unlikely team-up, and an alternate FF7 ensemble is rebirthed. When the party defeated the arbiters of fate, it _remade_ FF7 in a new image, giving _birth_ to ZT. Without the awakened Cloud, the main party would be unsuccessful because Cloud wasn't there to face off against Sephiroth. If ZT is real and not some mirage or Sephiroth clone continues into the next game, I think they would merge when Cloud and Tifa are in the lifestream and Cloud fully awakens.

@@trufreedom Sadly, we can't have the entirety of FFVII with this level of graphical fidelity and production in this day and age. I don't like it either, but I can't realistically see this level of AAA production be made into a 100 hour game with the complete story sold for $60. Otherwise, they have to cut down costs and we'll be getting chibi models, classic ATB, probably no voices, just with slightly updated graphics and performance. Or maybe they'll cram the entirety of disc 2 (which ain't a lot of content anyways) into one game so they could package a trilogy at err... $120?

I think, specifically, the part where Cloud is threatening to attack Tifa, may just be the 3rd timeline. I believe that there might be a timeline where Jenova wins over control of cloud, and he hunts down the team one by one. The scene directly after where Aerith preemptively gives cloud holy, is him forcing it from her in this timeline as she's the only one left he hasn't gotten to which is why she says "this isn't about me." Implying that she's not just giving it to him to spare her life. If this theory turns out to be true. There will be 3 timelines. The one we play, The one where they all die in the explosion and Zack and Cloud are on their own, and a 3rd timeline where Cloud fell victim to jenova and became a villain. This would make 1 Timeline of each variation. A good Cloud, as we know him A neutral Cloud who never had a reason to become who he was meant to be. And an evil cloud to contrast the one we know.
