Finalizing $25,000 FOOD Donation Project
Another great delivery day in Colombo to finalize our food donation project in Sri Lanka.
The initial objective was $10,000 for feeding 1000 families for 2 weeks but we ended up collecting nearly $25,000 to feed 2500 families with low or no income at all.
Big thanks go to all the +600 donors who supported the project, and the Foundation Of Goodness for making the deliveries possible while identifying the right recipients.
Very proud of my audience's power to come together to make difference in the villages of the lovely country of Sri Lanka during the hardest period on the island.

But most of them do not see the heart of Sri Lankan people and their hospitality. But you, such tourists are less than the number of fingers on the hand. You are at the top of them all. i think thats quite unfair to say this about many tourists because i have been to sl several times and i have seen myself how the higher classes walk straight past poorer people and my sl friends explained how it all works . so please dont accuse foreigners when many sl dont care about their own just because they are poor and or not educated into their class . and with all the troubles have any well off or wealthy sl helped ?

Not all rich people help the poor but there are many rich people who help the poor. I mean relative. A large number of foreigners come to Sri Lanka. I mentioned it out of respect for him because it is very rare for someone to help people in this way. Not all foreigners may be able to help like that. Therefore, I did not accuse any foreigner. @@Seeking-Serenity i think the word offended is a bit strong and i would rather call it me being a bit disappointed but its yiur opinion thats ok . i am sure families and friends help each other but that is not what i meant . i was talking of well off and more so wealthy sl millionaires . especially since this guy arranged with the sl guy to raise money which came from people from where ever in the world and maybe also from existing and or previous tourists . have you seen any of the tv shows... called rich kids ... from different countries including sl . what an eye opener how they are so spoilt and spending money like its going out of fashion . liturally a few hundred 1000 dollars or pounds is less then pocket money to them and their parents . it would be so nice if they would have helped or help now . sure there are wealthy people anywhere that dont tell about their donation in case you might say that because i know . but in this case it does not look like it because even more would have been done already .

Because not everyone is rich. But I did so because I felt that I must appreciate Dawood's actions. Because I watched a lot of his videos. I appreciated his actions because I felt he was a very gentlemanly person. If you talk about children of millionaires and their pocket money, it is true that there are such mischievous sons and people who enjoy the money of parents who do not help anyone. Sons of politicians are at the top among them. I agree with you. But it is not clear to me how that matter is related to this. However, I am sorry for the unintentional hurt caused by my handling of words.

@@Seeking-Serenity i appreciate your words thank you . i think we have our wires a bit crossed about my talk of the millionaires . i brought that up because they have so much and spend crazy amounts on themselves on what ever where as they could do such a lot of good by helping the people even if they gave a huge amount it would not make a dent in their wallets and they can still carry on with their luxury lives flying on expensive holidays in their owned private jets etc . it would help people out with basic things like food - meds - and other important things which is not asking much .for sure it is very nice of this guy to have arranged go fund me but at the same time i feel the wealthy could have or at least now make an effort too and i think its kinda sad that it took a foreigner to do that . lets hope some one like that will be kind and unselfish and help out . just for the record things are getting worse all the while where i am and globally with huge costs especially energy and we all dread winter coming its all crazy
