Visited this wonderful place in 2015, I hope it is a good experience for you. It’s quite an experience visiting the maha Bodhi tree I hope you also got to visit the giant stupas, they are huge and really as important historically as the pyramids, and you are carrying the lovely lotus flowers too. Anuradhapura was the first kindom and the first capital of of Srilanka. Local civilization and also the budhisum started to spread from this city. Plenty of historical sites temples and man made lake's can be seeing in this city. One whole week will be needed to understand and see all the stupas, temples, and historical sites, and 2500 years old ruins, museum s and many more things to explore.
