Sorry to hear about Cooper. Anyone who lost a hunting buddy after years of hunting is reliving our own highlights and tears. Glad you have so many videos to look back on.😥

Like I said before, these get me every time. Amazed how attached we get to them, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Nothing beats a good dog, started to tear up thinking about my Dad's old pointer, miss that pup a whole lot so I make sure to send birds to him in Heaven with my own

What a cool video. I've been waiting for a time I could just sit down and watch this. Sunday morning with a cup of coffee. RIP Cooper. Old dogs may pass on but their legend only grows. Thanks for sharing.

The perfection of life with a bird dog, like the perfection of autumn, is disturbing because you know, even as it begins, it must end. Time bestows the gift and steals it at the same time. -GBE

I think the dog hunts for me. The dog thinks that I hunt for him. But in the end, neither one of us could be successful without the other. It is a beautiful relationship that you have to experience to understand. RIP Cooper.

I haven’t been subbed for very long but the loss of any dog hurts like hell. You did a lot better in that intro than I imagine I would talking about my best buddy. I hope the pain eases a little one day. Rip cooper.

A hard sport (chukar hunting) requires a good dog, stamina, and shooting ability. That's why we go for the challenge, but more importantly, for the dog. R.I.P Cooper.

It hurts so bad to lose a good dog, the video is a wonderful tribute to Cooper. I fear the day that I lose my big Wirehair.

Really great tribute Rob. I just recently made the tough decision to avoid that “reverse dichotomy”. Had to put my 13 year old GSP down in December of 2022. Never got a replacement for him and at my age I don’t want to risk having a young dog wanting to hunt and me not up to it. Sorry for the loss of Cooper. I think the first of anything is hardest to say goodbye to. But I’d say be glad for the years and the memories and thankful that you can still hunt with Dizzy and hopefully many more to come.

Just watched your video about Cooper. I'm a Brittany owner (French Brittany) , so I have first hand experience as to their hunting expertise. My Brittany is 10, but in pretty good health. However, I know there's only a few good years left and I often think about that when I'm out hiking or bird hunting. I'm 73 years old, so my dog and I are growing old together. Don't know if I'll get another dog when he's gone. Guess I'll have to see how I feel at that time. In the meantime I'm just going to enjoy him as much as I can. I live in Western South Dakota so there's plenty of birds to hunt and a fairy long season. Hope you have a great 2024 season and I look forward to viewing more of your videos.

The gains from the time we spend in the field with our dogs outlast the hurt of there passing Because we hunt together the ancient contract of human and dog marks another milestone in the balance of life Gifted are we that all the things came together to have this time spent hunting Time spent growing our hearts together never goes away it is the light that shows the path forward P.s you should think about doing a tribute hunt for cooper invite subscribers to come and honor all dogs past present and puppy I’ll be there

@@jacttackle57 thanks for the wonderful words. As far as the subscriber hunt goes, maybe we could set something like that up at a preserve. I don’t think having a mess of people out to one spot of public is conducive to a good hunt. I like the idea of it though.
@jacttackle572 ай бұрын
