FINALLY! 2021 AUDI S6 TFSI 450HP - A PROPER S6 WITH NO FILTERS OR RESTRICTIONS - A BEAUTY! 4K

Finally! I was very stoked when I was shooting this gorgeous 2021 Audi S6 here in Doha. Why? Cause the last 2 years, I’ve only been having the European version with the V6 TDI engine with 349hp for shoots. This one, the Middle East version, that is also available in US and many other countries, has the engine from the RS4/5. The V6 BiTurbo TFSI pumps out 450hp here, and it really does this car justice. It feels like a proper S6. Same amount of power that the C7.5 S6 had from its V8 TwinTurbo. And of course, no fakeness. Real proper exhaust and beautiful sound when driving. The car here is dressed in beautiful glacier white and black optics. It was a special order and the owner specced his interior beautiully. The 2.9 V6 twin-turbo is a great engine. It doesn't matter if it's in this, an RS5, or a Porsche Macan Turbo. It's powerful, has a lot of torque, and sounds pretty good as well.

This may be one of Audi's best options in their current line. A perfect combination of performance and heritage. Sure, the previous S6 had a twin turbo V8, but twin turbo V6's have been an important part of Audi's history for nearly 25 years, since the S4 B5 came out sporting that 265-hp 2.7 Biturbo that later would become the basis for the iconic 380-hp RS4 B5. And let's not forget this same engine was also used in the A6 from the same period (C5 generation), albeit slightly detuned to 250 hp. To me, this new S6 is like a new chapter of the story started back then. It's just sad that VW group refuses to offer this gasoline version in Europe. 😑

I mean those regulation are the explanations for the soft limiters etc, and yes Diesel engines are dead in most of Europe countries, but they do produces less CO2, and even if the UE says no to diesel, they still regulate manufacturer pollution based on their global CO2 emissions just a thought that's not very clear but hope you can understand ans as always great video, but little detail, for that 3:33 shot, great angle imo, but a little chrome/piano black Audi tyres pressure valve would have been the perfect little detail! like the one they sell

@@julien5171 its part emissions part fuel price in Europe. In Europe diesel is cheaper than gasoline and most mechanics/shops know how to work on diesels. Compared to USA where the opposite is true

This engine was NEVER EVER EVER used previously... let alone detuned to 250hp. Not sure what pipedream you're smoking. The c5 a6 and b5 s4 used 2.7 biturbo. Completely different, totally outlived. This engine does not share NOTHING with the 2.7. Also, this 2.9 biturbo v6 is a major step down from the 4g generation of the s6 and d4 a8/s8, which both were v8 4.0tfsi biturbo. The 2.9 does not even match the 4.0's horsepower stock to stock. The tuning potential is not the same, the torque, feel and sound are total shit as compared to the 4.0.

@@HristovRumen Looks like you didn't pay attention to what I wrote. When I said about the 250-hp detuned engine, used in the A6 C5, I was referring to the 2.7 I had previously mentioned in my original post. I wasn't talking about the 2.9 used in the car of the video. Besides, the change for the 2.9 in the current generation was because of emission standards, we all know that. I'm aware the V8 has more potential, but considering that, in Europe, the S6 was featuring a DIESEL V6, better a gasoline V6 than the diesel, as 'worse' than the V8 as it may be. No S or RS Audi should have a diesel, the engine character doesn't match the car's sportiveness.

Honestly I think that Audi is the "darkhorse" of the German brands. It really is BMW this, Mercedes that, these days. I think the Audi steps up to the plate in terms of design, performance and luxury, and quite frankly I think they do it better than the two other Germans.
