Streaming audio has come along way in the last couple of years. Thanks for the review, Jacqie!

Do you by any chance know how to separate audio sources with the Rodecaster duo and assign them to seperate faders? I currently have my games/discord assigned to USB1 and then Music/Other audio on USB2. I've been trying to figure out if there could be faders like Games on 1, Discord on 2, Music/Other audio on 3. If that made any sense....

Does the amp have enough power to drive reference headphones such as the 250ohm DT990 pro, or is a separate amp still required?
@Jacqie Жыл бұрын
It should be enough, some people use the combo of the RodeCaster Pro II with the DT990 250OHM headphones and the headphone amps are the same for the pro and duo

so which would you recommend since you have reviewed both.. the wave xlr.. or the Duo??
@Jacqie9 ай бұрын
I actually love the Duo more, but it is a preference thing. I really love the fact that the Duo does everything on the hardware side, plus you have physical faders to change audio for different sources. You also have more options with different types of mics for example wireless mics and USB mics as well

I like the RodeCaster Duo a lot, but I have a question I can't find an answer to, how good is it with Electric Guitars, and general music production? is it good enough or should I just get the GigCaster?
@Jacqie Жыл бұрын
It works well with guitars plugged in and in general if you run your audio to a DAW, but it can sometimes be confusing because it doesn't pick up in FLStudios for example that you are using combo jack 2 so then you need to record everything and mute everything except the guitar. So solid but does require some work sometimes. I am just waiting for them to add guitar effects still haha

Been having issues connecting my iPhone with a usb c to lighting to get the audio on my phone for videos. Sometimes it connects and works and other times it doesn’t and will pick up through iPhone audio. Any help or suggestions for settings on iPhone or duo ?
@Jacqie Жыл бұрын
Are you using the Rode cable for iPhones? I know Apple has weird requirements so not all lightning cables work
@MCD1031 Жыл бұрын
@@Jacqie I have rode cables. One I have been using with the original rodecaster and works fine. But since getting the duo. It works sometimes and others not.

Would you know if OBS picks up each input as its own independent track ( mono )or does it pick up the mic inputs as stereo only in OBS?
@Jacqie Жыл бұрын
It is mainly in stereo as you do the mixing on the RodeCaster, but you can split it somewhat into chat, mic and everything else. If you want more control or more separate channels, I am sure Unify does it better or Wavelink from Elgato

Pity you just breezed over functionality, I wish someone would show in detail examples of streaming eg. TikTok using a Android phone connected via USB C ports etc, we all know what the unit is supposed to be used for, but nobody tells us in detail how to connect different devices etc.... So you sold the unit to us, it doesn't one with a manual so I suppose the purchaser must just plug in units & learn by hit & miss?

I have a few videos where I will be diving into the functions more in depth. It is just hard to cover everything and still keep the videos short enough. but if you have specific use cases then I can try prioritize them first
