It might affect the side spin result. He said, it worked well alone but it showed sometimes weird side spins being tested with other launch monitor. I don't like subscription. I want to play game sometimes for fun...but not many. I am a Skytrak user. I was considering buying Eye Mini light but I've found this video.

I've tested it for one hour. The sensor and device itself are very good as the price. No problem at side spin reading. No delay unlike Skytrak. No unknown failure in reading shot. I can't expect more at that price. I like the credit policy because I will play games just several times a month. I can't pay a lot of money for it. If you need, You can make your own marking balls, but I purchased 9 more marking balls. It doesn't matter. but, the software is still not great. It has some problems, we can expect updates though. Some heavy game users might like year based subscription policy, but I am not that kind of person. I test it indoor. But if you avoid direct sunlight, I think it could work well. I hope so. I think the manufacturer is so bad at marketing. I've never seen any advertisement or something before except this video. I don't need Eye Mini anymore. This device is enough for me. Good price. @@eBurstMedia Simple question but it needs long answer. So, I will raise just one example. Driving range. It has 2 modes. One is Graphic mode, the other is Data mode. Yon can't see any club data at Graphic mode. You know, Attack angle, face angle...etc. If you want to see those data, you have to go to Data mode. But you can't go without closing the Driving Range. You can move to Data mode absolutely after closing Graphic mode. But when you close the driving range, the data's gone because you closed it. In other word, When you hit one shot at Graphic mode and you want to see the club data for the shot, You can NOT see it. Data mode doesn't show any Ball flying path graphically. Only numbers there. Not easy to figure out your shot was good or not. Slice, Draw, Hook....no idea. Only numbers. But you can't transfer it to Graphic mode directly. You have to close the session. And the shot data's gone. So, you can't see the graphical ball flight. Just one example. But it couldn't be not big deal. I checked my attack angle and club path already. I got some feeling, so I don't need Data mode that much. I don't know they will upgrade the software though, The device is working well now. Better than OG skytrak.

I’m not sure that having these LM’s next to each other allows either to get correct readings. The GC3 uses IR flashers/strobe lights as part of its camera system, and it looks like the square might as well. These could interfere with each other and lead to incorrect readings.

Guys this was a good review as far as it went. You did say iOS but which devices? iPhone, IPad, MacOS - these apps can run on all of those if the developer allows it. Would have like to seen you compare putting between the two monitors as well. That seems like a real selling point for the Square if it is accurate. Also wish you had shown the data tile screen during some of the shots, if a GSPro third party connector is going to be made for it, it will likely require that screen to grab the data. If I did not already buy a photo metric unit due to space limitations this would have been on a short list of ones to try. It may not be accurate enough for a club fitter but is is good enough to provide a fun way to practice and play some golf without maxing out the credit card.

I will call this a good start, maybe even a very good start. It needs a bit of fine tuning but that is true from just about every budget launch monitor when they first launched. They are all pretty accurate, and I believe they all have their own proprietary apps and can be used with both E6 & Awesome Golf, and I'm pretty sure they all offer just about the same launch data. I'm not sure what makes this one just as good, or better than the MLM2Pro, which comes in at the same exact price, or what makes this one better than the other two that are offered at a cheaper price? What data does this offer that the others do no? How is the accuracy when compared to the others, especially the R10, which seems to be the tried and true go to for most?

All those options are radar based systems, camera systems are better for indoors no question. The garmin r10 is good for having fun, not accurate enough for full on serious practice or giving lessons. A lower priced competitor for camera based systems is much needed. But since this seems to be struggling with spin, it would honestly be a waste of money. The best bang for your buck right now is mevo + if you have the room, and the GC3 if you don't.

I bought the Rapsodo about 6 months ago. It disconnects every 10 balls. So frustrating and ready to throw it right in the garbage. It's never worked since day one. Eventually I just end up hitting into the net with no launch monitor because I'm sick of trying to connect it. I tried to get tech support and they were no help. Don't get the Rapsodo.

What's the loft of the wedge and 7 iron you used?

31 degree 7-iron and a 53 degree wedge.

You need to compare against the garmin r10

Hi 👋 Can you test the club path and face angles against other launch monitors please?
@knuteboy37783 ай бұрын
That's what I want to know. Seems like no one else is interested in this but I'm craving that club face to path information and if this thing can offer that at 700 bucks that's a huge game changer.

The yardages don't look that close imo... Might as well just be guessing off the top of your head if it is that far off

First video review of this on KZbin. Hello, can you use this outside ? Will you possibly be able to test outside and also checked there website and looks like there is some sticker to put on club to show club data. Will you be able to test that?
@SquareGolfOfficial3 ай бұрын
We don't recommend using the launch monitor outside as it can affect the accuracy of the data. But yes, you can apply the markers that come inside the box for club data.

Had I not already bought an Eye Mini, I probably would have bought this because it’s what I always wanted! Putting practice ✅ Driving range ✅ Photometric ✅ Only pay for simulation ✅ No other launch monitor under $1k offers all of this. I also think you are assessing the swing stick incorrectly… that’s not for us (the golfer). That’s for when you’re entertaining and have people over (or wife/kids) who want to play but do not golf. Fantastic addition imho. You’ll also need to redo your accuracy tests. As others have mentioned, interference is a thing. Dotted balls are also okay imo. At this price you’re likely using a net and a TV, not a $2k projector and impact screen. With that sort of setup just dot the balls with a permanent marker and play the ball you want. If someone develops an GSPro API for this like the MLM2Pro it’s game won.

Totally agree with this, its a game changer & I cant understand why they tested against GC3 & not the rapsodo?
@scottintexas3 ай бұрын
@@homecourse6154Or both!
@tor90503 ай бұрын
@@homecourse6154because GC3 is “ground truth” and we wanted to know how accurate this thing is, not how it compares to competitors. And by the looks of it, missing side spin completely and being off by 1000 RPM, not super accurate
@Steve-qn8gn3 ай бұрын
Not sure why the GC3 is being used as “the reference” unit here. A lot of these channels fall victim to this, comparing an ok device to an unknown device.

Most average golfers aren't concerned about spin it's more about launch angle direction and carry distance....these are targeted with home users in mind 99% of golfers can't afford professional launch monitors
@GetBetterGolf3 ай бұрын
If it’s reading the spin wrong, almost every other number will be wrong.
@nathansfishing26203 ай бұрын
@GetBetterGolf but on the test the carry distances were in line ?
@nathansfishing26203 ай бұрын
@GetBetterGolf also people buying this monitor will be co.paring against the garmin and mlm or mevo so that's the real comparison not against a 7k machine
