Weird, I thought dread D was the supportive one and dread was more aggressive. Maybe it’s because wave breaker is both undertuned and doesn’t synergize with the weapon.

Wave does actually synergise with dread, the issue is that it’s weak. The main problem with Dread D is beakon since it forces dread to play way more passively. If Dread D had an active sub it could fight with then it’d be fine, but it’s stuck with a sub it cannot use while fighting. Dread is an aggro/support weapon imo, and I think it’s best when it can flex between both roles.

@@glitchingeclipse9850 all other points are valid, but 48/42 + 45 doesn't even one shot, so the synergy is questionable to say st least. on the other hand, wave gives heavy, dualie squelchers and custom junior ability to two shot. The synergy with dread D is too weak.

@@Cyrogeno The synergy isn’t only with damage. It’s a location special on an AoE weapon, and it has the benefit of not taking away your main for a long time, something very good for a weapon that likes its uptime like dread. It’s also not impossible for wave to get a dmg buff to 60 (though I don’t think it should), but even then shedding off a slosh to kill is always great. Plus, this wouldn’t be much of a problem if again dread D had a fighting sub alongside it that could negate that downside. While obviously burst comes to mind, there’s also torpedo and others that can do similar jobs. Wave is just an overall good special for sloshers even considering how weak it is right now, as it gets a lot of synergy with the weapon class. Even though dread is likely the weakest pick for a wave sloshier weapon, it’s not like it’s absolutely horrendous in comparison to the others.

And again, wave wouldn’t be as much of a problem if beakon wasn’t the sub it has. It’s just a pairing of a sub with little synergy for the main with a special that doesn’t mesh with the sub on the kit while being more undertuned, but is okay otherwise for the main.
