Premier Season 2 has started, with Vertigo vertigone and Train added to the CS2 competitive map pool. The M4A4 has seen a price reduction, the MP9, MP6, & MP5 have been nerfed, and much much more. Finally, CS2 Premier is shaping up to be THE place to play competitive Counter-Strike.

I agree on the not banning 5 stacks, but I do think that 5 stacks should ONLY be matched against other 5s, not just prioritised. Like if you queue as 5 you will only ever be playing against other 5s. If that makes the queue a bit longer that's fine, it's worth it to get a better match. I'd rather spend an extra couple mins in queue than have to endure an hour in a match I know I'll lose because I'm on a team of 5 solos against a 5 stack.

Many including you and me suggested that specific seasonal system. I already suggested that nearly 10 years ago. Also the issue with qing together is a known issue for many years. People usually just don't realize that because they don't lose their rank unlike now with a new season. The entire "you can't play with X because of lower rank or whatever"-system is stupid. Back in an fps game called Combat Arms, there was this clan system which allowed people to participate in matchmaking of a larger team system. Imo such a same community would work better with ranking when you are playing a TEAM BASED GAME instead of having solo ranks. Winning in solo queue is mostly luck, depending how good your teammates are comparing to the enemy team.

I had high hopes for Season 2, but unfortunately, nothing has really changed. I'm sitting at a 26k rating, and the cheating problem is still rampant at this level. Now, on top of dominating the scoreboard, cheaters also have an extra incentive to grind, as they’re rewarded with a medal. This completely ruins the fun of playing Premier. I just can’t wrap my head around why it’s still not possible to cancel matches due to abnormal behavior. For example, we played an Anubis game where, after winning three rounds in a row, one enemy suddenly toggled wallhacks and some form of aimbot-landing scout headshots and finishing with nearly 4,000 damage. How is Valve unable to cancel a match under such obvious circumstances, even if VACnet doesn’t detect the cheater? It’s absolutely mind-blowing to me.

I can't agree more mate. I didn't play much of season 1 because I was camping out in normal match making because of the cheaters. I thought giving season 2 a try, I'm 24k elo and jumped on for two games after work last night and both games have cheaters with one having a 5 stack of 28ks all cheating with high level skins. As a primarily solo q player, I can say in the 63 games I've played this season, I have faced 5 stacks over 20 times. It is kind of ridiculous. Certainly 5 stacks should not be banned, but they should be Q'd against other 4, and 5 stacks only. I have half a dozen friends who play the game casually, but they are all like 3-6k, and I am 12-15k range on my main account. I have an alternative account where I play with them, and always just take it easy, or use pistol only etc. against true low elo players. My matches with them have been harder than my main account in the 12-15k bracket. The amount of super smurfs sweating in the 5k bracket are outrageous. I know that technically I am "smurfing", but not like this. I am not dropping 30k+, and making new players have a bad experience. I play intentionally bone headed, and just goof off. Only lately, I've had to play my best just to try to counter super smurfs 5k stacks. I love CS2, but the Q system certainly needs work.

The greatest thing about Season 2 is easily the Famas buff. I NEVER touched it because it felt like I could never hit what I was shooting at. It felt like I was just not shooting projectiles. Now, with the buff, I'm hitting headshots and am able to get the Famas and Armor with 3k on force buy rounds. I love it.

IDK if it's just me, but the past week in Premiere has been...normal. I mean, at the beginning of the season, every game feels kind of off. No blatant cheat or anything, can't even be sure when watching demos, but so many players are just so bad yet frag so consistently. This week however, I'm occasionally catching enemy off guard, I got wall spammed in places that make sense, every one are acting based on info presented instead of aimlessly playing deathmatch without getting caught from behind somehow. I played around 20 matches in season 2 yesterday and in half of those matches, there were obvious cheaters in them. Not only in the enemy team, in my team aswell. Mostly new accounts, or accounts with only CS2 on their account. I even checked the demo afterwards and it just confirmed my suspicion during the matches. I play around 15-20k, so it's really a struggle. Most of the time, they were Russians, which is another reason, why they should finally get their own server. Even if their not cheating, playing with a Ping of 10-20, against a Russian with 60-100, it feels like playing against cheaters, becauzse they still get a huge advanatge due to that stupid subtick system.
