yo i’m just now getting bannerlord, do you think these mods are still necessary to make shieldwall viable/useful? have they made changes since this video that do the same thing as the mods or render the mods useless?

@@zan3414 No, they are terrible. Actually, spreading out your units yields better results. So its: Spread out>Line formation>Shieldwall. Basicly if u put your units in shieldwall you WILL get massacred.

@@mdeyna7173 i’ve put almost 100 hours in since my comment and i’ve been consistently using shield wall and it works like a charm for me so idk what’s up then

@@zan3414 from my experience only use for a shieldwall is blocking arrows when closing in. I tried this in custom battle 100vs100 sturgian infantry, if i stay in shieldwall i lose miserably because my troops cant really swing very well. I get best result using loose formation which is sadly the oposite of how it should work :(

The overhead shield mod isn't having an option for me to download off of nexus. Did he take the mod down or anything I want a shield wall like you lol Found it. Its under the tab known as "files" new to this. Lol Thank you!

wtf theis makes it les realistic, a shild wall is just a phalanx, just imagin how tiring it would be to hold your shild up all the time in the second row,
