I have a Logitech G105 and a Micro Inovations (Micro I is no longer in business). For some reason the WASD is worn off on the Micro. The G105 has LED lights to illuminate the keys. However being a 2 finger typer and one who should wear bifocals, I find the lettering a little small. But it does have game mode switch. Also don't think there will much chance of wearing the WASD Off. The thing I use is is the game mode switch and I always leave LEDs on. The Micro I keyboard is still in use buy the olde lady even though I used it originally on XP. G105 is almost 4 years old and still functions the same as out of the box. The lighting on that Keyboard is blue and it is not a distraction at night using it with the only other light in the room is from the monitor.. Yeah wireless would be better but never seem to have AAs when I need them.

Why would it have issues with multiple wireless keyboards? It's using Bluetooth. Have you ever heard of Bluetooth issues because "too many people" were using it?

Yes, all bluetooth devices use the same frequency and therefore run the risk of interfering with each other if not made to handle that type of situation. Also WiFi and microwaves can emit on the same frequency and can cause interference as well.

So it doesn't even have any sort of backlighting solution? Seriously I'd be down with it if it had one. I'm not even asking for some fancy super bright RGB stuff, but a simple white/red, dim and low-power backlight could have been appreciated.
@cpana20017 жыл бұрын
That keyboard has roughly 110 keys. One small surface mounted LED draws around 20 milliamps, bringing the total power consumption to 2200 mAh for the whole keyboard. With two very good AAA batteries rated at 1500 mAh that's roughly one hour of run time. Let's say we use some tricks to decrease consumption like pulse modulation, we can bring the power requirements to 100 miliamps, we can install a bigger 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery and we would still get one maybe two days tops. Who wants to charge their wireless keyboard every day?
@arigato77887 жыл бұрын
Indeed. But should you share a single LED for several keys (for efficiency's sake), and put a bigger battery (3000mAh is your run-of-the-mill smartphone battery right? let's double that, the keyboard casing surely can hold that much), you could make it a week. Now yes, that's not ideal (it's heavier due to the bigger battery and takes longer to charge), but that's way more convenient for daily use.
@rolfs21657 жыл бұрын
@cpana2001: The Logitech G105 has 6 LED to illuminate the entire thing. Plus 4 status LED (Num-lock, Caps-lock, Scroll-lock, Game Mode) and 4 LED for the programmable sets (3 sets plus "record"), which the one in the video doesn't have. It's not like they haven't figured out how to have a keyboard light up with the absolute minimum of LED.

This keyboard was great at first, but it starts to double click after about a year or two of use. Typing became a nightmare, and was filled with constant going back to retype things as my sentences were filled with double letters. Seems to be a very common problem with this keyboard. If you want a wireless mechanical keyboard, you're better off getting something like a Keychron K4, as they have a version with hotswappable switches, so if you ever get keyboard chatter, you can just replace the switch instead of being shit out of luck like the G613.

Just bought one because my 20yr old Logitech mechanical that I was using on this PC died and I didn't want to steal the one from my other PC. I could do without the "gamer" keys but it was the best in-stock at BB and I was desperate. I've been using it for a month now and I can say at times latency is horrendous. You have to "wake it up" - for the first minute or so the latency is tens of seconds, then drops to seconds and finally to unnoticeable after you've used it for a bit. I honestly thought it was broken once and rebooted my PC to see if I could fix it. I knew it wasn't broken because I could login to Windows just fine then when I walked away and came back, it was unresponsive at first. Have to say when it's going it's pretty good, though I feel like when I'm trying to type I would prefer a heavier (cherry mx brown???) feel.. still much better than the "soft breeze on the back of your fingers false triggering" of many other keyboards including the K270 that I tried first.

Not enough macro keys - I've been using the G110 for years now & having the capacity for 36 macros (with 20 in-use) makes even every-day computer usage a whole lot easier that'll prompt me to buy a replacement G110 instead if/when I have to replace my current one.

Heres an idea. A wireless mechanical keyboard built for work instead of gaming. Some people like the mechanical feel and audible response from a mechanical keyboard while typing or working but their desk is way too cluttered and the wire just gets in the way. So with a wireless mechanical keyboard that focuses on work latency isnt really an issue as that 1/2 of a millisecond doesnt really matter anymore. That decrease of focus on latency can also lower the price of the keyboard and would've allowed Logitech in this case to make better keychaps

I have a Drevo Calibur. Great keyboard when wired but wireless is terrible. Look up the reviews, so many people say the same thing in that it doesn't connect. My one connects to phones okay, but won't reconnect to phones automatically. It will initialise a connection to a Windows PC but disconnects immediately after pairing.

@misatzu6 жыл бұрын
@@rodimusmaximus3912 You're trying to look smart, but you still don't get the point of it. It's simply a marketing issue. If Logitech would sell these things with backlights, people wouldn't turn them off but use them instead at full brightness, *_and then_* complain about short battery life *_anyways._* So they don't include them at all to avoid that negative backlash. Also, I'm not defending this _but just telling you how it is._
