The price of Logitech products is high, but I've never found a company with customer support as good as theirs. My cable for the Logitech GPRO X headset broke a few months back, after it was out of warranty, and they sent out a new cable free of charge in less than a week(They also rma'd my G513 keyboard in less than a week when the usb passthrough stopped working, and back when I first got the headset, they rma'd it after the right speaker started disconnecting). The support staff responds fast, and they know what they're doing. I think a lot of what you pay goes into peace of mind. The company actually cares about user experience.

Some advice from owning the Compass mic arm. It's sold as a combo deal with the Blue Yeti, but it's not really designed for it. The internal mechanism is literally a steel wire with no grease that holds the entire arm in place using friction against a piece of plastic. It's very prone to self combusting if you over tighten it, and there's no indication on how much you're supposed to tighten the mic arm. It's especially bad if you're constantly moving the mic vertically, hinging at the base. Mine lasted less than a year before the steel wire ate through the plastic, and it lost the ability to hold my mic up. It's a very aesthetically pleasing mic arm when it works, but the Blue Yeti with Boom arm at maximum extension is a bit too much for the arm to hold comfortably, unless they've majorly changed the design in the last 3 years. Even at the discounted price, the Compass is still substantially less sturdy than comparable mic arms like the Samson MBA38. The Compass is rated for half the weight of the Samson mic arm, and it shows. I'm not going to say "don't ever buy it", but if you're going to buy it, have a plan in place to avoid constantly moving the mic arm. Use the Compass for what it was intended for: Looking pretty and keeping your cables clean. If you want something that's durable enough to move from the middle of your desk to the edge every day without fail, look somewhere else.

Loved the mx518, had been my daily driver, then backup mouse for many years,but I tortured mine once too often, and not currently able to repair it, so got a g502 hero
@DedmenMiller9 ай бұрын
I got mine from my Brother in around 2009, had to repair the cable in 2015. Still going strong. I got the 518 remake for my office PC. It's literally been with me for over half my life. Amazing stuff. The only other hardware that has been with me that long is my G15 keyboard. Had to do a membrane repair due to liquid spell, and there is a rip in the rubber under the e key, but hey. Old Logitech stuff really was amazing.

I think Logitech does the peripheral market a solid with their contributions. They're usually solid and often well-made. The stuff I have bought (to include KB, mice, trackballs, speakers, and headsets) has all worked reasonably well. But the real service they provide is to set the benchmark, that small, boutique makers can use as their quality targets. Do they do everything perfectly? Maybe not, but I know I can pop into a store and buy a Logitech whatever if I need one and trust it will be higher quality than some random kit.

I've ended up with mostly Logitech mice for the past 20 years, no brand loyalty but they just always end up being the best value, comfort and functions for the money.

plus their customer support seems to be pretty good. bought a g pro x superlight on sale for a hundred bucks about 1.5 years ago (on a third party site) and the scroll wheel was dying. I rang up support and they sent me a new mouse in a matter of like 2 weeks. didn't even have to send back the old one so now I still have a mostly functional backup mouse in case the new one dies.

I have recently started using Logitech gear and my first purchase was the G60 headset which I'm so impressed with I'm now looking at replacing my mouse and keyboard with Logitech due to Icue software being a constant pain. I love these videos but would like to see more stuff being showcased that is more affordable to the average person rather than top of the line items which most people can't afford. Keep up the good work.
@benwu79809 ай бұрын
My Corsair Scimitar Pro mouse died when it fell off my bed, the K95 Platinum was extremely difficult to type on. Regardless of Windows or iCue settings the thing would do key repeats at some nonsense of 20ms, same in linux. May be my fault getting Cherry Silvers. Upside, i got to uninstall iCue which for no good reason was taking up 1.3GB of diskspace, and I only used it for programmable buttons. Couldn't even get it to do the audio visualizer on the keyboard, seems need a corsair headset for that. Odd really, since using openRGB does it, and is something less than 30MB unzipped
@Splo_Retro9 ай бұрын
I use the Scimitar as well and it's a great mouse but unfortunately the extra buttons don't work without having the Icue software to macro them in. The Keyboard has been ok but have had this for quite a few years now and I'm due an upgrade. Icue worked fine with windows 10 but since I upgraded my pc I'm now on windows 11 and Icue is just not compatible with it. I find myself re-installing Icue at least once every few weeks because it will just disappear from my pc on its's own and still would require some jiggery pokery to get it to re-install. I think Logitech is the way forward for me, I just need to find a good like for like replacement for the Scimitar.

Tbh the best mice are made by zowie no stupid software needed to change any settings, as for keyboards like any hot swap qmk via programmable is better you can get them cheaper then name brand ones with better quality and software that is actually good.
