The PUP line gets a bad rep but honestly it's fine. It's an upscale prize figure line in the end and for the price there are way more hits than misses. I personally own the inuyasha series from it and they're gorgeous!

I got this figure about a month ago and reading about PopupParade prior made me a bit nervous. But honestly I'm super surprised by the quality, Its really detailed and colors look way better in real life. I've been waiting for this exact pose without blood for a while so buying it was an absolute no brainer for me.

I was lucky enough to find him available for preorder and took a chance on it since I had no intentions on spending over a thousand on a Berserk statue. I'm definitely impressed with how he turned out though and already preordered the Chainsaw Man popup parades. I would love to go scale but it's just way out of my price range.

Glad your first experience with Pop Up Parade was a pretty good one! At one point I had over 100 of them, but have been selling them at the local Book Off for other additions to my collection. I still get a few of them every so often, so I still like the line, but I have been more picky about them now than I used to be. I guess that's a good thing though since they don't seem to be slowing down.

I had the same experience with shipping cost in the gigantic shipping box this figure and 2 nendoroids shipped in from AmiAmi lol. It makes me seriously reconsider future orders from overseas, especially ones where they will likely split it into two packages.

I don't order a lot of PUP figures anymore due to the hit-or-miss quality, but I also couldn't pass this one up! Very happy with how it turned out. Usually the PUP bases bother me but I think it's fine here. He looks great with the Berserk Deluxe volumes. :)

@@Epikal3Productions Just depends on where you ordered it. The figure release date in Japan was mid-November, so AmiAmi shipped orders out around that time. But Good Smile US, for example, has to wait for their stock to arrive from Japan before they can ship orders out, so they set their release date for a couple months later.

I've only ordered one figure from BBTS but its release date was November 2021 and it shipped at the end of August 2022. For another US-based figure store, I have a figure ordered that released in May and it's still not shipped. 🥲 Shipping costs are way more at AmiAmi but I'm so impatient that I usually buy from them anyway.

I preordered this from Goodsmile Company as soon as they announced it. A few months beforehand I went to a convention and was looking for anything Berserk related which then got me wondering if there was any statue with this exact pose anywhere and came up short. Opening up the box had me in awe just because for a budget line, it still looks really really good and a bit hefty. Still looks menacing on my shelf next to my deluxe volumes and just looks so nice overall.

I paid 10,932 yen total (3901 for EMS shipping). He's my first pop up parade too, I tend to avoid them to save space for scales, but I'm quite happy with him. I wanted any type of affordable figure from Berserk, and luckily this one had pretty good quality to back it up. Really wish they made proper scales of the cast though. Nice review, excited for the Shuten one! From what I've seen she looks super good.

I just got my one (I'm in Australia), he looks so sick, and his price is so low for what it is. Really easy to assemble, looks amazing in person, has a swappable head where you can put in the light, looks badass and true to the manga. Honestly best figure of guts on the market right now, even disregarding cost, the other ones I've seen don't look as badass as him in the berserker armour.

@@culturess sheesh just looked it up (I got it on amiami too), well the figure was $7480 yen but the shipping cost was $6000 yen with $1348 in taxes too. So all up $14828 yen which is $167.90 aud or $112.31 usd. So ig it wasn't too much of a bargain with shipping, but honestly still a very reasonable price for it.

I ordered him from HLJ, shipped him alone using Registered Airmail, costed me only 1.7k. Took 2 weeks to reach my country and it is now on my state, so i should be getting it in a few more days. I dunno about everyone else, but I've basically stopped combining orders because the shipping price is always too high and instead ship them one by one. I'd say 8 out of 10 times their box is small enough to be sent though R.Airmail, which as you can see is not only super cheap, but the shipping is only about a week longer, at least to my country, than EMS/DHL. Which is literally a non issue to me. Rather wait 3 weeks but pay almost nothing, than wait 2 weeks and pay up to 10 times more. (Edit: I just checked and that Shuten Douji is also small enough to be shipping with R.Airmail and it cost 2.5k for me. In case you were curious. You would be able to ship the 3 items in your order for about 6k rather than 12k if you shipped them separately. )

It feels random for me when it comes to the optimal shipping strategies, but I saw the comments for both of my bigger figs on MFC regarding Shipping on AmiAmi to America and decided it wasn't worth splitting the order this time. For me on HLJ, Airmail is 8k for Shuten Douji, while EMS is 6k. I don't really know why airmail is currently so expensive to America right now but it might as well not even be an option

Huh, I am glad that this guts Pop up parade is pretty good! The Zero Two figure really did scare me because my local anime store posted the image and was too disappointed. dam they did a good job on this pop up parade! i think the base on POP's have always been an issue for me but overall looks pretty solid for the price you paying. definitely feel your pain with increasing shipping prices! did Amiami send to you in the 140box? EMS to Australia for 140box is around 8900 yen now.

It depends on the video I guess. Since this video was written out, Normally I record a bunch of B roll of the figure first, then record my voiceover. in this specific case I had a rough idea of when I wanted to be on camera and when I didn't need to be, so I did all the off camera voicework in one take, then the parts where I was on camera. Sometimes I make mistakes or don't like how I sound when I'm rewatching the footage so I'll do it over. I also one have 1 camera which is just my phone. I'd love to upgrade to a real camera and plan to, but right now im just using what I got

Yea I bought this from AmiAmi, I should have it in the next few days, I just payed the customs for it. But I do have a few of those Prime1 statues, I have Skull Knight, Griffith, Schierke, Egg of the Perfect World and the Hand of God, and I’ve bought the new Berserker armor Guts with the astral Schierke. But right after I bought that they rereleased the original Berserker armor Guts in a bloody version, I always wanted that one, it looks exactly like this Pop Up Parade here.

I think there's still a wave of orders that haven't made it to America yet so that might be your best chance to get him at retail price, unless you find him used on the aftermarket which is also very possible if you give it some time

It depends on the figure really. When I bought guts, it was combined with 2 other figures and the box was rather big. EMS ended up being cheaper. I don't really have a preference tho, I just pick whichever of the two is cheaper

Originally I was hooked in with collecting by Azur Lane. I fell in love with Wings Co.'s Azur Lane Jean Bart (albeit the QC issues with the table stand). She is actually gorgeous at 1/7 scale. I did not even care about the upscaled price as the stock was non existent apart from eBay resellers I bought it + ended up paying UK Customs on Her. And as a Berserk Fan boy since forever. I ended up buying the Pop Up Figure L with the Milight as well. He escaped customs charges bought from Plazajapan. (and then as an Fate Stay Night fan boy... Fate Grand Order (mobile game) figures a lot of it lol, all 1/7 scale Jalter, Scathach, Okita Assassin and Alter, Mordred by GSC...) but yeah. They are not cheap. But they are really really gorgeous. Specially one's made by GSC and ALTER. And I really really love the addition of LED light on guts. I hope or wished other manufacturer's can try and incorporate an extra part that can accomodate the Milight series of LED.

Mine was also guts + one other figure, shipping was 9500 yen for surface, I knew I should've just gotten from GSC US or TOM smh

@@ChungMyers sorry, it corrected myself but it was 17200 yen for DHL or EMS, I changed it to surface which was 9500. Yes I'm in the US. The other package is also fairly large but yes, still. The only other figure that came close to the shipping price was Ning Guang but her package was about 20 lbs.

I forgot to mention this in the video but I originally had him ordered on Amazon.jp but had to cancel there for dumb reasons. Regardless, the shipping was way better (like 3500 or something) so I feel like I missed out on a good deal, but moving forward I think any figures like Nendoroids or Pop up's are probably best ordered from stores in my country instead for shipping sake. 17200 is insane though. How big was this other figure?

@@ZuccoFigures depends on which pieces, some have had rereleases, like the 1/4 scale guts got a bloody version. thats why both are around msrp and you can also find them on sale on the prime1 store. but the 1/4 scale zod is worth 4000$ now and so is the berserker armor 1/4.
