Thanks for the video! Did you step foot on antartic soil?

Thanks for watching! Unfortunately no, on the bigger cruise ships you're not allowed ashore on Antarctica. You'd have to go on an expedition ship of 500 or less passengers.

How truly amazing. Question: How cold was it in the Antarctica region. What were the temperatures

Thank you! Was very beautiful. It was around 1 or 2°C in January. That's their summer time!🥶😆

Great video series. For this itinerary on this ship, would you recommend a cabin on the port (left) side of the ship (as opposed to what looked like your cabin on the starboard side)?
@thelifeofreillytravels Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much!😊 We chose starboard as for the most part of the trip we were sailing south down the east coast of Argentina. However on sea days you couldn't see the coast anyway, only when we got within 20 miles of port. Sailing west through the Strait of Magellan and then back east through the fjords of Tierra del Fuego, I think the more spectacular mountains and glaciers may have been on port side, but the best views were from on deck. In Antarctica we were mostly sailing east on the south side of the islands, so from that point of view, you might be better on port side. However every time we were passing a noteworthy sight, the captain would slow right down and do a 360° turn, so that all balcony cabins got a chance to see the sights. Hope this helps with your decision making!😁
