Hello sir. I’m new to fishing and I encountered your video which I thoroughly enjoyed. I’m trying to become a better fisherman myself. I noticed that you use the drag a lot such as in 4:18 after you cast it out. You also play around with it like at 5:04 when you had a fish on the line. Can you explain the process of using it in both these scenarios? I assume the first time it was to give some slack since you were walking backwards and would need more line. Correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks! I know this was a long ass comment my bad bro lol

Appreciate the support my boy but I adjust the drag like that because when fishing the surf u can fr hook ANYTHING if you leave ur drag too tight and u not paying attention or not looking for sum a fish can fr take ur setup in the water and it’s gone also im using circle hooks which are made to set themselves so when the fish takes lines all i have do is tighten the drag and they are immediately on hopefully that answers the question
