Your concern for the well being of that large redfish is more important than getting a measurement. Testament to your values as a full time fisherman. Well done.

It's more ridiculous to catch it just for sport. To me that's not right.

Nothing sounds better than an open face spin caster screaming as the lines pulling …. I love it …. Fishing is like opening a box of cracker jacks ….. ya never know what you’re gonna get 👍👍🏆🇺🇸 what a great day

Congratulations on that stud Red fish. I greatly love watching your videos. I am from Ft. Walton Beach but I've been misplaced for about 16yrs now as we now live in the Berkshire mountains in western Ma. My wife and I greatly miss the beach but we get by watching your videos. We want to say thank you and to keep it up. P.S. I used to love fishing the beaches between Brooks brdg and Destin brdg. Just a beautiful stretch of shoreline.

Beautiful catch. I'm coming down there in late April. Bringing all my gear. Had a great experience at your tackle shop when I was there over Thanksgiving, even though the bite was brutally bad that week. Very much looking forward to seeing what a week of surf fishing will be like there in April considering I've only fished down there in cold weather. I'll definitely stop by Beach Bum on the way to stock up. Your friendly employees won me over when I was there last time in November

Fantastic video flick. Many of us can only dream of doing such. My day would have ended after catching and releasing that big girl. I once landed and released a 36 inch Kispiox river steelhead on a 9wt. fly rod. It was a magic moment but afterwards I had to sit down as my knees were shaking so much. On another note….Courtney would not only have caught a bigger red but landed the dolphin too! 🤙🤙🤙

Thats some bad ass Redfishing Action 🔥 Naples boy here and we dont really get the Reds along the beach like that definitely not with any consistency,,, They used to invade the Naples Pier sometimes in the Fall where everybody fishing was catching reds like crazy !!! But right off tye shoreline n beach doesn't happen every year at a certain time like u mentioned up there in Panhandle,,,In the Fall our passes will stack up with Redfish and its fun and a yearly event but typically we catch our Redfish on the flats and Mangroves of the Back Bays and Back Waters ,,,

Pretty work! Did this on Cape Point at Hatteras in the spring one time. 400 yards out on the shoal with small rays and 2-3ft sharks all around. Nervey. Released a 40 incher (guess). 45 minute fight.

That's exactly why I love fishing light line . It's so much fun you have to play them and know how to fight them correctly. One thing I might is using a longer rod will help absorb some of the shock of run and give you more leverage. I prefer a 11-12 rod when going for big fish on light line.
