Agreed, it also helps people comprehend the order of which things happens. There was one point that he was in a room that I definitely had been in, but wasn't sure if I had even been in that room at first as they removed the transition into that room from the previous. I understand editing out puzzle solving in case it loses the viewer's attention, especially if they take a considerable time to figure it out, but otherwise keep everything.
