i feel like a good way to minimize physical tbr while also letting yourself buy books is to buy up to one less book than you read from your physical tbr the month before ex; if you read 4 books from your physical tbr in august, only buy at most 3 books in september

Omg Destiny last weekend I was at Barnes and I also had to stop at the SJM table lol (naturally) but this girl came up to me and we started talking about ACOTAR. A few minutes later, two other girls come up and the four of us all just have a literal 45 minute conversation about SJM it was honestly one of the best experiences of my life. The book community is so cutie 💕☺️

Hi Destiny, I'm not sure if your going to read this but I just want to thank you for being open about your anxiety. I am a teenager in high school and have a lot of pressure from this that gives me anxiety. I also had a horse that died nearly a year ago due to surgery gone wrong and this has been very hard on me as he was my best friend. But due to you being open about your anxiety has helped me a massive amount and more than likely a lot of other people. Every video you post has always put me in a smile. I can definitely relate to buying books as a way of dealing with emotions! It's an incredible stress reliever until you start running out of space. 😂 Shame buying Kindle books doesn't produce the same feelings.

It’s one of my all time favourite series now, and I’ve re read the whole thing twice this year because I cannot get enough of the characters (aka Kaul Hilo). It’s an amazing mix of urban fantasy, crime gangs, politics, and romance 🤩

The moment I saw Mistborn come out of the bag aaaaaa! That series is sooo good! Especially the first book :) Like: charismatic characters + crazy good fantasy stuff going on + cinematic flying sequences + just the perfect sprinkle of romance = mistborn 1

You can't imagine what my face went like when I saw Destiny picking up Hallowe'en Party. I don't read classics and I read contemporary fiction mostly, but Agatha Christie is my favorite author and her books are just something else for me. Now, Hallowe'en Party specifically is not her greatest book for sure, but as a starter you may enjoy it a lot more than as your 20th-30th Agatha Christie book.

@@yusra3628 Ok so firstly I would recommend Cards on the Table, which is my favorite Christie. Ordeal by Innocence and The Pale Horse are also great standalones and have a similar vibe to Crooked House imo. And Then There Were None, Murder On The Orient Express and ABC murders are classic reccomandations. A Caribbean Mystery is a Miss Marple which I really enjoy too. Of course I have a lot of other favorites but these ones came to mind. Hope it helps :))

destiny i find that a good strategy is to go book shopping more frequently, BUT only pick up a couple books that you’re going to read within the next couple of days! this way you’re always keeping up with your physical TBR! i love these videos tho!!!

Seeing you in the town I grew up in is so crazy. I was born in Bloomington and lived there for the first 12 years of my life. I moved to Florida 4 years ago. Whenever Morgenstern's first opened my grandma called me and told me about it. The next time I came to visit we went to it for the first time and it was so adorable. It is now somewhere I make sure I go to at least once every time I go back home. The vibes are amazing and it is set up so nicely.

I randomly started A Deadly Education a couple of days ago and I’m 100 pages in and I enjoy it. It has thrown me once or twice because it says something like you’re suppose to already know but you don’t. It just throws you in. It’s fast paced to me which means you’ll finish it in an hour and a half. I can see why some wouldn’t enjoy it if you compare it with things in the same realm but I don’t have that issue. I love the characters and what it’s giving.

I’m almost done with book 2 of the Greenbone Saga. This series is very heavy on political intrigue, with little fantasy elements. If you’re interested in reading about politics, clan wars, family drama/relationships then definitely give it a try! It’s really good if those interest you!!
