I was listening to the original song on KZbin and it sounds like in the original recording the piano is like half a note offkey(?), either that or maybe the vinyl playback speed was slightly off. Anyway this sounds pretty cool, such a cool piano riff, I think you nailed it 👍

Cheers Iain, I've no idea what the chords are, they just sounded right, I like how they overlap 👍🏻

You're more than welcome, glad you're getting some use out of them. To be honest, I get a lot of enjoyment making them when I've got the time, it gives me a reason to learn new songs. I've just listened to that track...... It starts of fairly do-able, then at 45 seconds in an octopus must start playing 🐙🎹😂 It might be possible if I dropped the base notes at that point, and started playing the right hand part with my left 🤔..... Maybe 😂

Yeah, thought the base note might be dopped😅. Allways good with a challenge I do not know how to play piano but man I can play house musik thanks to people like you.

@@adamdavies3652 no problem pal, I love working them out, it's so rewarding when the notes sound right, it's a bit of a puzzle 🎹😁 It'll be handy for DJ-ing I suppose, not just for the BPM but the key. Happy playing mate, keep it up. That zip line looks awesome, I'd fancy a go at that 👍🏻 We've just been to Ölüdeniz and did the paragliding off the mountain 👌🏻

Definitely, as I was working out the chords for it, I thought the same, it's pretty much the same progression, just walking down the chords 😊

@@rubberpiano You sound a bit like a fellow resident of Pendle, perhaps Burnley, but can't quite place it. Only found your channel the other day, but as somebody who used to try and suss out the oldskool piano tunes about 15 to 20 years ago, its interesting to see it being done and to a much better standard than i ever did. I cant play anything anymore, never was musically trained, forgotten almost everything, but used to bash out love decade (same as you sussed out), bizarre inc climax 91, sonz of a loop da loop era far out, prodigy your love, 4 for money moment in time, that kind of thing. Never mastered chords on my left hand though, it was always a one key bounce on those for me, but seemed to work out.

@@epichouse534 I'm from Huddersfield, bit over the border 😁 I bet you'd be able to pick it back up easy enough, I've never been taught but I reckon the left hand part is crucial to getting the chord, contra tone to sound right. Half the time the left hand notes don't seem logical but they work...... Or sound to work. It's all trial and error, best guess. Give it another go pal, I'll have a listen again to those track you mention, there's some real classics there 👍🏻😁
